A witness to last week’s bar fight allegedly involving LSU football players told police she saw senior quarterback Jordan Jefferson kick a man in the face, a Baton Rouge police report says.

Lowrey and three men, none of whom are LSU football players, were treated at a hospital for minor injuries, police have said. The other men’s names have not been released.

Of those injured, one man had three fractured vertebrae and another man was knocked unconscious, police have said.

The man who was knocked unconscious and suffered contusions to his head, nose and hands is a Marine, police said.

Police searched Jefferson’s off-campus apartment Wednesday, seizing 49 pairs of tennis shoes, including the ones he was wearing at the time of the bar fight, police spokesman Sgt. Don Stone said Thursday in a news release.

being reported that the marine who was kicked in the face was recently slapped with a restraining order by his ex last week. Case is going to get thrown out.

My thoughts when I heard that. My wife doesn't own that many shoes.

50 pairs of shoes x $50 per pair (lowball estimate) = $2500 bucks.

Blood, tissue... a good stomping will leave traces of DNA in enough quantities to do a comparison with the victim's DNA...so unless he soaked that pair of shoes in bleach for 15 minutes or threw them in the washer in hot water and detergent, there will be enough there for a match.

$50 for a pair of kicks? Try more like $80-$150. Any man that's rockin' 50 pairs of shoes, probably doesn't have many $50 pairs.

I'd be really, really interested to know what brand(s) they are.

If they're all Nike, or all Adidas, or whatever, it would sure make me think about an under the table contract.

This hurts more than Jefferson, if Jefferson is done I would consider it a plus for the offense. Hopefully Shepard gets reinstated within a few games.

Surely this isn't aleady from DNA on the shoes? That would be quick! I wonder if new evidence in general has been found. If this is all true, I hope they nail those two lying ass bar employees too.

They wouldn't have to match the DNA to make the arrest. With the witness and victim testimony, all they'd need to do is determine that there's blood on JJ's shoe and that would be enough to justify the charge. They'll have the DNA results before it gets to court.

Yeah, I know they don't need, I guess I'm just wondering if something has changed since yesterday. Unless they have something new, what they have this morning is what they've had for days. I figured it wasn't DNA already, but it makes me wonder IF there's been a development in the last 24hrs. Just curious.
