My point is people said Tobias wasn't big enough to play PF, he has done so some and been very good at it. Now people are saying McRae flat out isn't big enough to play the 3 at all...that's all I'm saying.
People saw Tobias as a 3/4 tweener coming out of college. McRae is just about a prototypical 2 size-wise IMO. I don't really see the comparison. Tobias has good skills as a stretch 4. That doesn't mean McRae is going to be able to handle someone who has 2 or more inches and 30+ pounds on him every game.
Its not his north to south direction that will cause him trouble. It is his lateral quickness that concerns me. An I'm not sure that can be coached. Jmo
Also wanted to add I think he will be drafted and I think he will make a roster. I just want him to have a roster spot for more than a yr or 2
Ehh remains to be seen I think. Like I said he won't have to go right in an play. Under the right system he can develop. His lateral quickness is just as quick as Jeremy Lamb I think. In the NBA it's not as much 1 on 1 defense as it used to be. A lot more helping and all that. He still has a ways to go on defense but not terrible. He's average.
J Lamb has played good with OKC. He's a very good role player. He'll be around. He can shoot and create on his own.
My apologies I should have looked at his #'s b4, claiming he couldn't make it past 2 yrs. 9-2.7-1.5 are numbers I wouldn't be mad to see McRae average
I just watched him get abused a couple of times this year, when I caught their gamesand assumed any points he was getting he was given up
