Josh Dobbs is about to make a scene with the Browns.

Josh has looked really good.

That being said, don't think they will start Dobbs, this is the competition for the #3 (if you count Deshon) slot. Looks like Rosen will be the last one. I would feel sorry for him, especially if he came from a tough background (his family is very well off) because he has gotten screwed over and over, first getting drafted by the Cards and the next year their entire management team is fired and the new guys wanted a chuck and duck guy. Then he goes to Miami after the season starts and that doesn't go well. For QBs it's a freaking crap shoot as to whether you get drafted by a stable team versus a dumpster fire and whether they run a style that fits your skill set.

You know, for supposedly being at the top of the coaching pyramid, it's amazing how many coaches are addicted to a system and can't adapt to unusual skill sets. Then you look at the good ones and they can win with any players group's skill set, but it seems the majority are system guys.

He's looking good to me. Honestly I wish the Titans had made a push to get him last year instead of drafting Malik but that's a different thread lol
I love Dobbs to death but Malik is a future top 5 nfl QB. His physical abilities are out of this world. He just needs a season to learn the pro game. The Titans are set for the next decade at QB. Best move Jrob has made since drafting Henry. I love Dobbs but Malik will be 10x the QB Dobbs will ever be. It pains me to say that as a vols fan but I see something really special in Willis's game.

I guess different strokes but Malik hasn't impressed me. Yeah he can run the ball no doubt but he's got a ton of work before being a top 10, let alone top 5 QB.

Josh is playing preseason, and doing Dobbs things. With the issues at center, and wide out with the Browns. Good chance Dobbs found a home with the Browns. It's a natural fit.
Very good to see him doing good. Great representative of UT. Hope he gets on the phone & lands us some 4* & 5* guys. Am I asking too much?

Natural fit meaning he was put inside a dysfunction organization, with incompetent coaches that have plenty of talent but always find a way to screw it up? You know, like UT when he was here.

I'm not impressed with him at all.

His accuracy is average at best. Short QB that always has to move his pocket to set to throw.

Strong arm. He's quick and agile, but he's got a lot to prove. If he eventually makes top 15 QB then that's a huge success

It looks like Malik will need several years of development

I don’t see it. He’s athletic, sure. But that doesn’t translate to top 5 nfl qb. We’ll see what he does, hopefully he does end up great.

Malik
I'm not a Titans fans so I don't have any reason to have a positive or negative mind about him. But I don't think he'll be with the Titans in 5 years.
Malik just needs reps, I don't know how anyone can watch that kid play football and not be impressed with his traits. He has every tool a modern day QB needs. He just has to put it all together. Watching every snap from the last 2 preseason games I can already see growth in his game. His td pass last night was his 3rd option
on the play. He is getting better everytime he steps on the field and a better grasp on the Titans offense. He has already jumped Woodside for number 2 (not saying much). Looking at the box score I get why people would be "meh". He had a handful of dropped passes last night and made a few bad plays but thats to be expected with him being in his second game. Some other plays are just houdini, making something out of nothing. People can have whatever opinion they want on the kid but I have no doubt he will be a top 5 qb in the NFL and one of the best players of his generation. My own personal opinion and I'm not going to derail this thread any longer. Excited to look back at this in a few years.

I have watched every snap this preseason. Malik is going to be special. I have zero doubts. He needs time to learn the pro game but when he does he is going to be a damn good QB. If I'm wrong I will gladly eat crow

He's got some tangibles and people are hyped over him on reddit Titans channel
I guess I was expecting more. He doesn't look comfortable in the pocket and looks to run early

I agree. He has flashed a few times in the 2 games I've watched but im not sold on him being the future. He has some bad habits and sometimes those don't go away.

Yeah. I guess we'll see and maybe he'll surprise me. I hope he does well.
I think one of his biggest issues is going to be trying not playing to his instinct which is to run and make something happen. Will the coaches let him play his style or try to mold him into a different type player..
