Josh Selby in town this weekend.

so you think pearl will be coaching at ut for 7 to 10 years wih out signing top dtar recruits so far he has to high class scottty who everyone was talkinng might turn pro after freshmen, sophmore, and nowafter next year unless his numbers jump up by doubles if scotty dont become the player we all wanted if he raises his averag up to 15 then 18 as a senior, hee will go join loften in turkey, his numbers need to jump up to average 22 to 25 his junior and senior year and improve in other aspects, bruce needs to offer 30 people even if he got 3positions,and harris is coming in ,and the vols got to get to final 4 a couple times or without big time talent the first years that pearl misses ncaa tourney and for 2 0r 3 years in a row they will be yelling. for new coach unless they get players like selby.5 players decide to turn pro and soon as its offical ky get ,knight, selby who is in knoxvill this weekend to get our hopes up will go on up 75 to ky and they will also get cj leslie, terrance jones, and doran lamb that is 5 5 star players , pearl will go after two or three then two will decommitt like selby and wroten,ky can get 5 in a week ,we had the 3rd ranked class after early signing but unless we get a top m\notch 4 star or 5 star ,wake forest fierd their coach and they have a couple of 6,9 to 6,11 4 star and we need height cause guards is it next year

Uh-oh we have a bosgap sighting. Beware all you gangbangers.

Any news on how the visit went?

Not in terms of how well it went for UT, however I can tell you that 3 different UK insiders (Not the moron Maggard) are all reporting that Selby to UK is all but dead under the assumption that Knight announces to UK Wednesday.

I know everyone continues to say that its possible because of Wall and Bledsoe, but Selby is a different animal, at least from what I gather from those who usually know what they are talking about. He doesn't want to share that spotlight.

However, thats offseason recruiting rumors, you have to TIFWIW.

All I continue to hear about Selby and Knight playing together is that there is no chance. Their egos are too big and they just don't have a strong friendship.

Pearl is back in Knoxville so if he didn't see him yesterday he won't unless he goes back up there.

Good Lord man

and yet there's still a fair number of people here who are convinced/worried that UK is an option for him...:banghead2:

And let me be the first to welcome e e cummings to Volnation.

Wrong there BOS. UK has about a 10% chance with Selby. It's also looking like Leslie is back to NC State. Jones is an interesting one. I could see UK or Oregon, depending on who Oregon hires. I do think that Lamb and Knight go to UK, though Lamb may pick KU if Selby goes UT and Knight goes UK. Still yet, Knight and Kanter are 5*s and Poole is a high 4* that could get bumped up. Then again, Kanter may not be eligible. Cal doesn't seem to be straying from this small group of recruits, so either he just has big ones or he knows something we don't. If he strikes out, next year could be tough for UK.

a source told me, by source i mean an unknown person on the espn ut board named skeeter said josh selby recommitted. is it true?

Adding a little....

Someone at NC State makes that statement at least once a week. I still think leslie is a solid UK lean.

Jones has stated openly and quite often that he would love to stay close to home and play, which favors Oregon/West Coast Schools. However, Cal was out there to see him yestersday while accompanying Wall to the Wooden award ceremonies. Word has it that Jones is waiting to see Leslies decision before committing, because most say there is 0% chance of him committing to UK if Leslie is coming.

I don't have the link to the source ATM, but 2 sources familiar with the NCAA have stated that the biggest obstacles are out of the way and that all signs point to the turkish big man playing next season.

Cal definitely knows something we don't, IMO. I wouldn't doubt at all that he might even have some "silent" verbals from Knight and Leslie already.

However, your right, if we come out of this group with only two players, it would be a rough year. However, I don't see it happening IMO.

There is 'AA legislation proposed that would allow Kanter to be eligible without any penalty. Had those rules been in place this year, Deniz Kilicli wouldn't have had to sit out 20 games for West Virginia.
