Knight and Selby aren't going to both go to the same school. I don't see Kentucky being a factor.

With the way Wall and Bledsoe played together this year, and with WWW you never know. It seems just as likely for him to sign at Kentucky with Brandon Knight then to us where he decommitted from...

I hope we get him though, with him and Tobias we will have one of the best inside/outside presences in the country next year.

WWW is real close to Lebron and rumor in Knicks camp is Lebron signs with leverage to bring in Cheatapari.
That's only relevant here because Cheatapari can be as reckless as he wants at KY because he will bolt soon.
Being a Knicks fan I'd take Cheatapari just for the sheer enjoyment of KY going down in flames.

The Countdown to UK on probation begins if Selby does in-fact go there as he was snatched from us in such a way that Bruce will be making a call to the NCAA Infractions Board.

• I'm hearing Kansas is in great shape with Selby. Tennessee, where he was previously committed, is trying to creep back through the door.

Not trying to argue TruOrange but that's a bit silly to say. (UK's not interested) Every coach in America is interested in Selby. Period

They just mentioned Selby on Sportsnation talking about the dunk contest, and they said he is considering about 4 schools includinng Kansas, UCONN, Kentucky and someone else but Tennessee wasn't even mentioned.

Yeah. But it doesn't sound like we have much hope. I'd absolutely love to be wrong though.

He did an interview for the McDonald's AA game, with some young amateur reporter, but when asked about the teams in it, he finished by saying, "and Tennessee definitely can't forget them"

He also included Tenneessee when he was being interviewed by a group of journalists, and the reporter questioned him about UT being back in it, and he went to talk about how him and CBP had talked recently

Its funny. Searching google for, "Josh Selby" and all articles written about him from all types of sources from Indiana basketball, AP sports, ESPN (obviously), KU basketball, and other media sports writers. NO ONE ever mentions that TN is still in the running. They all cite mostly UConn, Arizona, KU, and KY

If it's about being drafted high as quickly as possible... Kentucky.

If it's about padding stats and playing with a depleted roster... Kansas.

If it's playing like a team and trying to take a team to new heights... Tennessee.

----------------------------

I think UK is the leader followed by Tennessee.

Aldrich and Collins are going to be gone. Henry and Morris might enter also.... I don't see the appeal in Kansas

Kentucky, they made it as far as Tennessee with freshman but they also had two rare players and an experienced player in Patterson. This won't be the case for Kentucky this next season. Calipari has never won it all and it looks like Kentucky will lose out to experienced teams as long as they rely on freshman.

That leaves Tennessee... Pearl has kicked so many players off the team and despite that, his first remaining recruit Chism made it farther than any Tennessee team before. I can't imagine how much better Tennessee is going to look with more and more Pearl players leading the team. I think the Vols are set for another tournament run next year. Or at least I hope they are.

You just posted the worst post I have ever seen. These players know Kentucky is about to win Titles. Now, you can keep telling yourself it aint happening, but everyone knows it is damn sure going to happen.

You people are freakin out on an elite eight appearance.
OMG!!!!!!!!!TENNESSEE TAKE OVER!!!!!!!!!!WE GOT BEAT 2/3 THIS YEAR BY UK, DIDN'T EVEN FINISH 2nd IN OUR OWN DIVISION, AND GOT BEAT BY THIRTY IN THE SEC TOURNAMENT!!!!!!!!BUT BAD BOY BRUCE WITH HIS ELITE EIGHT IS BOUT TO TAKE IT OVER.

You lose players who you didn't recruit to replace.

We recruit players that fill the gap. Knight is coming. Leslie is coming. Jones is probably coming. Selby is going to Kansas MORE THAN LIKELY. UK has an outside shot and him and Knight but outside shot. UT is OUT. Has been out.

But you need to understand UK > UT and thats the way most of your basketball players see it too. Bruce is a good promoter. He got through a EXTREMELY weak tournament. You didn't have to meet Kansas(who would have beat you this time most certainly). You didn't even have to play Georgetown. Hell, Michigan State sucked this year, was without their STAR PLAY MAKER, POINT GUARD AND SCORER.And Brute still got beat by him.I know you guys are not used to it, and have never been here before, But try and understand something. Tournaments are usually not this weak. You will probably never see a walk like that again. Keep dreamin your little dreams about UT = UK basketball. We have 13 final fours, 7 national titles, 31 elite eights, and over 60 combined sec outright and SEC tournament titles. Keep dreaming, because thats all it will ever be.

Both Kansas and UT are Adidas.

And Selby would be by far the best recruit UT has ever had. If he were to play for 3 years he would be by far the best stats based player to ever play for UT.

Harris will also be special and dominate at his position.

But Selby is a game changer.

I really wish he would come to UT. Selby and Harris together = Final Four.

I would disagree that he's the best recruit ever...I remember well a guy called Allan Houston,.....he was a multiple NBA Allstar.....and member of the dreamteam....
Hard to compare those two....In my humble opinion..

All Calipari will ever do for basketball is recruit more freshman to go into the NBA draft. Just what this nation needs, more uneducated individuals making tons of money. NBA should require an undergraduate degree just like most jobs. :)

For real tho, Calipari is a joke to college basketball.

And trust me, Meeks, your KY fan base will get tired real quick when a coach consistently brings top prospects in, and still doesn't get stuff done in the tourney only to have them jet after their frosh season. All his misfortune in Memphis can attest to that.

Dude, go back to Co-RUPPt if you want to crow.

Everybody outside of your slimy state knows Calimari can't coach and cheats like a sleazebag. He fits in perfectly at CO-RUPP Arena.

Yet you made it no further than UT. Hell since when are ETSU, Wake, and Cornell worthy opponents. I can understand why you are upset. You did just lose your whole team to the NBA draft. No matter what recruits come in, the turnover will be so significant that nothing will ever be accomplished at Kentucky. The reason we are excited about an Elite 8 appearance is simply for the fact we had never been there before. Your program has history and tradition, whereas ours' is just now on the rise. I am willing to bet anything that there is a serious drop off in wins in the next few years for UK. If all you do is play freshman every year, they will continue to choke on the big stage. You may get the best recruits, but one and dones aren't the solution to Uk's recent drought in basketball relevance.

I think you all are still just as much in the running as we are. But I think he is Kansas bound. Tobias Harris is no joke so UT should be fine. Chism will be hard to replace though

This is weird and confusing. First, as a UK fan you probably don't know much about basketball's inner workings. Otherwise, my opinion here, you'd be ashamed to admit to being a UK fan with their storied history (coaches). Also, as a UK fan, you probably don't know anything about football. Just thought I'd throw that in the mix. Unlike some, as a UT fan, I really don't have a problem with all the UK banners and runner up banners you have hanging. It's all in the past. What's UK done for you lately? UK probably loses 5 to the draft this year. UK is being used and abused by Cal and WWW.

that's fine; but there's been a lot of word from UK and its fans the last few weeks / the last month that they have the guy they want for that position, so they're not really pursuing Selby that heavily anymore

they'll take him if he comes but he's not an overly top priority for them

Yeah but I promise you back then endorsements weren't near that important to these high school aged kids back then, nor were shoe deals anywhere near such a big thing as they are now
