I'm not. I think what they've done is great and as far as summitt, 1000 wins is fantastic regardless of what sport it's in; it shows the abilities of the coach


but if you come out swinging about the ladies team to rival fans, you're opening yourself up for kickbacks along the lines of "HA a woman's team would be the best you've got; come back later when you're good at real sports" or something along those lines

again, everything that program does is amazing; but using it in trash talk doesnt work, it becomes more detrimental than it helps. especially in this case where you tried to use it to help balance out his talk of UK men's teams accomplishments

ok man but when you have a list of 4 players and you remove one, thats saying the other three are more important to the success of the team and would therefore be better. im not "arguing to argue," im arguing because you have this false impression that Hopson was expected to be as good as guys like Wall and Cousins coming out of high school when that was not the case at all. You are setting such high standards for the kid that he basically is either a superstar or a failure, and that isnt fair at all.

SEC East Championship is a possibility, but a National Championship -come on? Look at what happened to KY with five first rounders. TN might have one possibly two first rounders if everything comes together. You can never assume...

ESPN didn't have us in Hopson's top 4 during the Burger game. He committed 2 days later.

OMG, there you go again putting words in my mouth I didn't say. I never once implied I think Hopson should be as good as Wall or Cousins. I clearly stated he was a MAA, top 5 player coming out of HS, and thus far has not come close to playing up to his potential, nor has he shown he has the ability too. Most MAA show more as a true freshman than he has after two years and any knowledgeable basketball knows it. Anyway, I'm through talking about it since all my post get misrepresented, lol.

Don't know if this has been posted in here or how reliable it is but a guy in the recruiting forum is saying Selby recommited to the Vols today and will make it official on the 17th..

You lose players who you didn't recruit to replace.

We recruit players that fill the gap. Leslie is coming.Knight is coming. . Jones is probably coming. Selby is going to Kansas MORE THAN LIKELY. UK has an outside shot and him and Knight but outside shot. UT is OUT. Has been out.

But you need to understand UK > UT and thats the way most of your basketball players see it too. Bruce is a good promoter. He got through a EXTREMELY weak tournament. You didn't have to meet Kansas(who would have beat you this time most certainly). You didn't even have to play Georgetown. Hell, Michigan State sucked this year, was without their STAR PLAY MAKER, POINT GUARD AND SCORER.And Brute still got beat by him.I know you guys are not used to it, and have never been here before, But try and understand something. Tournaments are usually not this weak. You will probably never see a walk like that again. Keep dreamin your little dreams about UT = UK basketball. We have 13 final fours, 7 national titles, 31 elite eights, and over 60 combined sec outright and SEC tournament titles. Keep dreaming, because thats all it will ever be.

You make some good points there Meeks but you forgot that the NCAA is also "coming" just as Calipari is leaving. Have you looked up World Wide Wes, i would suggest you do so you can see who and why you end up on probation. You obviously are free to troll here year round so i will keep my eye out for you this fall also. By the Way , you provided alot of good stats about your Freshman sensation led dream team, remember a UT team without best player Tyler Smith, Duke Crews, Emmanuel Negedu, Josh Tabb, and Ramar Smith, who were not on the team for various reasons, made it as far as the great Calipari led Cats. Oh here is another good stat for you. Tenn football has the longest win streak in the nation against your Cats 25-0. You were sooo helpful with stats , i just wanted to return the favor, see you in november.

LOL do you even read you post? you used Wall and Cousins as two examples true freshman. why on earth would you even bring them up if not because you are saying Hopson should be more like them? All i am trying to tell you is that the 2008 class was very weak compared to other classes of the recent past, and therefore him being ranked 5 in the 2008 class probably barely ranks in the top 15 or 20 in say the 2007 class.

when you add up the seeds of the teams Tennessee and UK beat you get 36 for UK and 27 for Tennessee..... so i fail to see how Tennessee had an easier road.... its simple math. UK HAD AN EASIER ROAD THAN TENNESSEE
