I will say this, I have a source that knows selby well and has his phone number and everything. He said that the last time he talked to Selby, UK was his leader. However that was about 2 months ago. He also said that Selby told him if Knight goes to UK he most likely won't be a Wildcat. Now I know a bunch can change in 2 months but I still tought I would throw this out here.

P.S. Selby said if Knight goes to UK and he decides he doesn't want to go to UK it would be down to us and Kansas.:hi:

if you honestly think Williams is much more capable of production than Hopson, you are sadly mistaken. everyone is ready to burn hopson, but you will all be eating crow when he finally works hard and realizes his potential.

How would that be eating crow? If he starts working hard and gets better, that proves he is lazy and doesn't work hard. No one is denying his talent, it's his work ethic and hustle.

the guy used overhyped. thats not the right word. he has the potential to live up to and exceed his hype. if he does it, that makes him not overhyped.

You're the one who will be eating crow if you think he will EVER reach his hype out of HS. I heard today he ask BP to assist him with his papers to the NBA. What a joke. He won't even be drafted after 4 years of college the way he plays. He's soft in every aspect of the game and disappears in virtually every big game. Further more if BP plays Tatum more and Hopson less we probably play in the Final Four this w/e. Saying I predicted Williams would best Hopson (which i didn't even mention Williams) was a nice touch to make your post look better, but totally lame since his name wasn't even mentioned BTW. Get a clue dude..

good call on the williams thing. the OP mentioned selby+harris+hopson+WILLIAMS= championship and you responded by saying leave hopson off the list. hmmm what does that basically say when you want hopson off but not williams?? lets think a little more before we post ok? and if you honestly think hopson wont get drafted off potential alone, you are sadly mistaken. ive read that he would be picked in the draft even this year if he went. so why dont you get a clue?

He disappears in march once conference tournaments start up and afterwards, i'll give you that; that's his biggest problem and is the bulk of his criticism

but how in the world can you say he disappears in every big game? His numbers show very much the opposite of that.

Again he had 17 pts in the KU win and 15 again UK; he also had multiple double digit games in season against Vandy, put up 20 against UF, and had 12+ points in most of the conference games

Again I'll give you that he disappears in postseason play and that is bad - it's when you need players; but he was productive in season and to say that he disappears in big games is a blanket statement and I'm sorry but an incorrect one at that

THE KID IS A SOPHOMORE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. seriously dude look at the facts. the only people who overhyped Hopson were people on volnation who saw that we got the number 5 player in the nation, and thought that since the top players from the class before his were all amazing one and dones, he would be amazing too. All of the people who know their stuff predicted that his class would not produce nearly the top talent as the year before and thats why many UT fans ended up disappointed. They expected way too much.

I hope you are right about some fool drafting him. The Clippers would be the perfect team, God knows they know talent LMAO. For the future success of UT Basketball I'm hoping he is no where around Knoxville come next season.

the statement he made though regarding overhyped seemed to be in the same direction as bust, at least by appearances more towards talent-related abilities

the original statement appeared to hint more towards this team would be much better if scotty hopson wasnt on it

But you need to understand UK > UT and thats the way most of your basketball players see it too. Bruce is a good promoter. He got through a EXTREMELY weak tournament. You didn't have to meet Kansas(who would have beat you this time most certainly). You didn't even have to play Georgetown. Hell, Michigan State sucked this year, was without their STAR PLAY MAKER, POINT GUARD AND SCORER.And Brute still got beat by him.I know you guys are not used to it, and have never been here before, But try and understand something. Tournaments are usually not this weak. You will probably never see a walk like that again. Keep dreamin your little dreams about UT = UK basketball. We have 13 final fours, 7 national titles, 31 elite eights, and over 60 combined sec outright and SEC tournament titles. Keep dreaming, because thats all it will ever be.

But speaking of leagues, we have 8 women's national titles and 25 straight wins over a certain blue school to the north in a real man's sport. And I'm sure you would gladly trade those 54 Meeks' points for just one win in that stretch.

So what I think you need to understand is UT>Vandy>UK.

Excuse my rudeness but my hatred for all things Wildcat Blue knows no bounds. My dad used to root for the Russians against the Wildcats so...Go Duke!

dude, Dont take this the wrong way but using the womens' titles in trash talk doesnt really come off strong, especially against a school that prides themselves off of being a basketball school

My argument would be if you're a true, real fan of UT then you support all sports. And you don't turn a blind eye to a hard-working ladie's basketball team that's won many national championships. I live in GA and tell them I'm a FAN of women's basketball because of our team. That's ridiculous.

We agree to disagree. And just to clarify (because u just seem to wanna argue to be arguing) in regards to the OP ... I meant I would remove Hopson from that list simply because he is soft, and has never shown any leadership abilities what so ever. A McDonald's AA even as a soph should show a hell of a lot more passion, skill, hustle and desire to win than Hopson does. See John Wall / Demarcus Cousins for examples if need be and true freshman I might add. I'm not trying to argue with you, but don't put words in my mouth. Nowhere did I imply Williams > Hopson. I said I would remove Hopson from the OP because as I have stated numerous times in this thread he is not a leader........PERIOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
