Josh Selby Update

Good point, but im sayin that i would rather win a national title rather than an sec title. and yes i know thats not likely gonna happen
Well, yeah, but it doesn't mean the tournament title isn't still nice.

Regardless of what Cal thinks about it.

Book it!

I know that means nothing, because I have seen it numerous times before. (Both with BB and Ambles, etc. etc. etc.)

I just wanted to put it in one of my posts.

I hope we get Selby, but you don't HAVE to have ballers to be a very good basketball team. Look at Duke and Butler, for starters--not to mention UT last year. Having good talent and keeping it together for a two/three years is an ideal approach.

We had as much tourney success, but they still did win the Regular season and conference tournament title.

Well, they won the regular season title.

The tournament title was bogus - had to have been one of the most one-sided officiated games ever. MSU's trophy is in KY's case. That's honestly how I feel about that.

Selby succeeded in adding a member to VolNation. I signed up to read what you guys were saying and am now placing my first post on the Selby thread.

I doubt we get him but, wherever he goes he will probably be there for 2 years no matter what.
Hope so, but I'm not so sure. If he's here for 2011-2012, he was probably a disappointment. However, for 2011-2012, UT would probably be really, really good.

Maybe, but the trophy is still in UK's case. I really want one of those, because it's been too long.

Yeah, I want it too. The sad part is that title was sitting on a platter for us in both 2008 and 2009, and we didn't claim it.

It was just aggravating to watch the program that's already won it so many times be handed call after call after call until they finally converted a miracle play.

Sorry, cut that a little short. I wasn't referring to his talent level, I think he could definitely leave after one year on potential alone. I was talking about the fact that there may not be a draft in '11 the way things are going now. It seems like right now everything is pointing to the fact that a lockout by the owners is much more likely to happen than be avoided.

u guys r also forgetting about maymon, he is good but marquette did not use him right, we will b deep, plus chis jones from memphis comes next year and he is awesome, so in the next 2 years and on we will b dominate, watch, especially if we get selby

Austin is for pretentious douchebags.

Similar to Nashville in that way.

Really? That hasn't been my impression of either.

I like Austin's music scene because I'd rather be nagged than listen to country.

But to be fair the 'music scene' in most any city is full of pretentious douchebags.

Don't let Butler fool you. Heyward is a first-round pick. Shelvin Mack can play. Matt Howard is pretty good when he's out of foul trouble.

There is A LOT more going on than country music here in nashvegas, yeah go to the honkey tonks downtown and thats what you get, but local bands, and some of the legends still jam here, and sound great
