Wait.....

I've heard the top 3 HS CB's on the board are Burrell, Hill and Fields. Obviously Blades is high on the list as well. It'll be interesting to see how many CB's they take. I could see them possibly getting to 4.

is it safe to assume then, that bush and mcollough may be better thought in that nickel/spur/star role then?

though i would have thought Bush may be a tad higher than fields on the board as a CB. could see fields being like Mcollough, closer to the box type player.

4-2-5.....

Thanks for a scheme answer.

These kids aren't going to want to compete against each other like that if they eventually want to start. Each year we will continue to take DBs. (Obviously not as many as now, but still)

So again if one of these guys that apparently we are taking at DB by signing day backs out what is the contingency.

Sorry wasn’t trying to make it a short answer... my thumb hit send when I was going for the P. Lol.

4-2-5 they take 7 DB’s isn’t really taking a lot of competition. I believe that is a real point of emphasis in their recruiting profile... you have to be willing to
Compete... if not then we don’t want you. They still have huff and one or two others “just in case”

If they transfer for playing time... OK... that's fine... at least our secondary is fixed and we got the picks of the litter :hi:

This makes sense. Im sure other people were wondering this same thing as well. Thanks Caleb.

We are so far removed from the days when this was exactly the case at UT that, as a fanbase, we're deluded.

I agree about the guys having to compete that wasn't my point.

My point was some kids will want to start right away and might take it as a slight if UT brings in that many guys. (It has been reported that UT will take them all and sort them out - last time I checked some recruits don't like that perspective)

That was my only question to Caleb which is why I asked what the contingency was and he answered that question.

Bet we actually take 4-5.... no need right now for more...

shhh, they still think we are taking like 4 TEs, 3 QBs, no RBs, a dozen defensive linemen, at least 20 OL.

got to fix a position in one class or we will never have success.
