i would say i was pretty surprised, because ive been mainly focused on the university of mississippi, and a lot of people really havent been talking to me as much as they used to. So, when they offered me, it was kind of a shock, said payton. (pruitt) loves my speed, and when he watched my film, he loves how i play and how i move. And he sees that how i play is natural, and a lot of receivers dont use their hands like i use mine.
he just loves how i move around on the field.
(johnson) actually saw me play when i went to the memphis camp in 2016, and he loved how i played back then, payton said. seeing him, it was just a great experience, hanging out with each other and stuff like that. He kind of already knew how i played. the one thing i can say about the new staff: I love how they talk to the players, get to know the players, especially, payton said. i know, when i went up there, they asked me a lot of questions, not trying to get to know me as a football player, but as an individual. I would say thats the main thing that i noticed about them.
right now, im still 100 percent with ole miss, he said. im just trying to finish my season, get bigger, faster, stronger and just see what happens at the end of the year. "i mean, it would be nice to be close to family and all, payton said. coming out of high school, that was a big part for me. At one point, i did want to stay in-state. But me living in mississippi for the past year, it has let me see that theres a lot to explore. I love being away from home sometimes, so its not too bad.
ole miss coach matt lukes staff also is among the reasons he still likes the rebels. i love the coaching staff, payton said. a lot of schools didnt really help me as i was coming out of high school my grades, trying to get me eligible to play. At ole miss, they were very loyal to me at the beginning and at the end, so thats one thing i can say about them. I really appreciate them for that, for always having my back.
