The injury didn't help, but just the opposite happened as the year wore on. We needed a dynamic playmaker to get us out of system scores. Was hoping for a Carmelo Anthony style run, but it didn't happen at all.

There’s nothing special about Pearl’s “system.”

He lets his players run freely and lets them jack up shots no matter how dumb it is.

Phillips can’t hit the side of the barn as it is.

Just curious, like Yuri Collins and His school threatened the tampering... is that something you want to pursue if he does go to Auburn? Also, is the bridge burned at this point?

They were probably smart enough to tamper through back channels. Or Phillips’s people could’ve been the one reaching out since it came down to us and Auburn after he was released by LSU.

If he wants to win a championship why would he go to Auburn? They have been to the NCAA tourney 4 times in Pearl’s 9 years (8 chances because of COVID). They have lost in 2nd round 3 of the 4 times. Did make semi’s once. I see nothing that makes me think he would win a championship at Auburn.

I am going out on a limb. Philips is not going to Auburn. No inside info, no nothing. Just the belief the kid is better off at Tennessee and he knows it. He is not stupid.

Basilio is to blame. He never passes up an opportunity to stir **** up. He’s an entertainer, not a knowledgeable reporter. He kisses Vitello’s rear end because he’ll come on his show. Barnes won’t give TB the time of day and it has poisoned his narrative of CRB as a coach.

TB will say anything to suck up to any clown that advertises with him. Basilio never said a bad word about Jimmy Haslam while he had Pilot money putting Basilio in stores every week doing remotes. Once that ended, Haslam became “Jimmy Coaching Shorts” and was destroying every team that had his finger prints on it.

Again, a **** stirrer and an entertainer. Take it for what it is.

Maybe he doesn't care about championships and just wants his draft stock improved during his time in college? Just suggesting that a kids priorities aren't always in line with the fans.
