Julian Phillips Auburn rumors

Funny thing is that Chism shot worse than Nkamhoua from outside but didn't get the mountain of crap from the fans for some reason. The only downside with Schofield shooting like that was it turns out Grant could have, too. Not that he should have been spending all his time outside but it would have made for fun viewing seeing the defenses extend even further out.
Man I just checked the numbers and you're right... Nkamhoua/Chism have eerily similar profiles.

Unless the Scooby Doo gang is about to pull a mask off ORN revealing him as Wayne Chism, it’s not that eerie.
Was more commenting on my own perception. I loved watching Chism, but Nkamhoua's mental mistakes often made me want to pull my hairs out one-by-one. Now that I look at the stats, the usage / ortg / 3p% / rebounding / turnovers etc. are all closer than I would've thought.

I guess watching Barnes' teams have made me spoiled lol.

Just kidding you about the “eerie” part. I get your point.

Chasm was more consistent and didn’t take games off like ON has.

Comparing Chism and ON is a bit of an odd situation. Chism would consistently give you 10 or more points night in and night out along with 7 rebounds. He would toss in the occasional 20+ point game as well, but the issue with ON is that he scores so inconsistently and rebounds so inconsistently. One night he will give you 20/10 the very next game he may give you 2/3 and hardly take any shots. Chism was consistent whereas ON was never consistent throughout the entire season.

Chism had 80 games scoring 10 or more points and 21 games with 10 or more rebounds.
ON had 27 games scoring 10 or more points and 6 games with 10 or more rebounds.

Chism finished his career with 503 more total rebounds than ON who finishes with 427 for his career.
Chism finished his career with 875 more points than ON, he also finished his career with over 150 assists and blocks, while also grabbing 121 steals.

ON should never be compared to Chism.

One of my chief complaints of Nkamhoua was his rebounding effort, but even I wouldn't have guessed he only grabbed 10 or more on six occasions in 4 years. Sheesh...

Good post. Easily arguable that Chism was underrated. He hit big shots, was solid rebounder, never backed down from anyone and was a very under appreciated defender, even on switches on perimeter. Had quick feet and guards had tough time getting by him.

The pearlites refuse to acknowledge how much trouble he almost got us into by turning a secondary violation into a major violation. The prefer to blame the university for "not backing him". All he had to do was tell the truth, but he decided not to. I liked Pearl up until that point. When he put my university at risk through sheer stupidity, that's when I stopped liking him. People like to say, "It was just a cookout!". If he had just been honest about that cookout instead of lying his ass off to the NCAA, he wouldn't have been fired and he wouldn't have received a show cause. It was a secondary violation and he blew it up into a major one. Such a dumbass. Pisses me off that so-called Tennessee fans still hang on his nuts.

Add to that how he treated his assistants and their families when everything went down...Bruce is all about Bruce

I agree with most post here ON simply could not be counted on night In night out. One frustrating thing with me are his weak hands (IMO the only big with strong hands was Uros). ON seem to miss the 8’ fade away midrange etc type shot consistently. And most misses were short. It doesn’t make him a bad person…just two areas of his game that MUST be improved for him to be successful moving forward. Wish him all the best in success. Seems like a solid young man.

I've been seeing hints and whispers all over twitter from the big Auburn twitter accounts about something going down with Auburn and JP. Anything yall hearing from Tennessee side of things?

the hint -- Key

This same bad account also said Julian Phillips was hitting the portal. Don’t believe what these clout chasers are saying.
Well from reading the war room stuff in the other thread, it sounds like it’s still a good possibility he is hitting the portal which would really stink
