If you’re Julian Phillips, would you consider a transfer? I don’t think he can make the nba jump yet. The team is fine, but his offensive game is not being developed and it will hurt his draft stock. It actually appears to have gotten worse. He only had 12 minutes today while key, the walking brick machine, who has no future with this team, had 25. Id be pissed.

I don’t think he should btw. Just a question. More than anything I think he needs to get stronger, more disciplined, and more aggressive driving to the basket.

This off season is huge for him. He needs to get stronger more than anything

Lol, where’s he going to go?

He’ll still have to gain strength and work on his handles no matter where he’s at.

Phillips sat on the bench because he was constantly out of position on defense. There were 3-4 times FAU shot a 3 because someone was closing out on Phillips’ man and wound up leaving the shooter open for 3…. Phillips defense was atrocious tonight.

He’s going to get drafted, we had a whole thread about it earlier. It’s just not the NBA draft but Turkey or some other backwater league

I agree but don’t think this offense knows how to utilize players at times either. Look at Justin Powell for example. Averaged double figures while shooting 42% from three this year. We had no clue how to use him last year.

Julian Phillips hypothetical - he could actually play like the one and done he considers himself to be. That’d be a good hypothetical!

Transferring won’t fix his problems just like it didn’t for BHH. Own his problems and put in Chris Lofton level of work to improve his deficiencies should be his plan

I just think he probably needs some more time to develop. A couple of years ago, perhaps 3, it was Olivier who I thought was useless. He looked just as lost out there and I would get annoyed watching him never being ready for the ball. Someone would make a good pass to him inside and the ball might as well have hit him in the forehead. Who's to say really that he doesn't just need more time? A number of players under Barnes have developed over time. Maybe he doesn't pan out here though...who knows?

He's way too underweight.

The nba takes players based on potential and athleticism so it's possible he can go undrafted and make a team

He couldn't do anything this year though. He can't shoot, can't finish, etc

Only thing I remember him doing was winning us the game in November against USC and his put back dunk against Duke

He has a lot of work to do this off season

Yes!! Actually I think he will do it. Don't think he can play the "Barnes" game...
