Elite 8, final four, then a title. Wth else you want him to do? Throw a BBQ And take pics? No he isn't the best XO Coach by far but Good lord Man listen to what you're saying.

You act like national titles grow on trees, While you guys have never even sniffed a final 4.

I like how you come here and get offended when we don't sniff your ass.

You're on a rival board expecting praise and talking crap when you don't get it. Ironic that you called one of our fans a dunce when you're the one that needs to get a clue, dummy.

Tell me, how do you respond to Tennessee fans that come over to the Kentucky forum posting about UT commits and laughing at your football program when you call em a dumbass? Because that's exactly what just happened with you. You're embarrassing.

If this were in the UT basketball forum instead of Around the NCAA you would have a point. As a UT & UK fan (family in both places - not bandwagon), much of the bickering in this thread is embarrassing on both sides.

Take a chill pill and relax dude.

You lost me when you start talking about sniffing my ass. Just move on and cut your losses.

Cal is a great recruiter. And, even after missing the NCAA tournament with two McD's AAs (and losing in the first round of the NIT to Robert Morris), Cal is still a great recruiter.

You want to sell me on the fact that he is a good coach, though? Show me when he pulls a wrecked team through adversity to overachieve. Might as well claim that Theo Epstein was a good coach...

You're suggesting that his Elite Eight and Final Four teams at UMass were just so loaded with talent that he couldn't help but make deep tourney runs? And I guess the same is true for his first FF team at Kentucky, led by 5* recruit and NBA superstar Josh Harrellson?

The 1995 UMass team started two future NBA players (Camby and Roe). 1996 had Camby playing some of the most dominant ball anyone has ever played in the NCAA Tourney; and, the rest of the talent at UMass in 1996 was solid (Donta Bright was a McDs AA and a heck of a player at UMass).

And I guess the same is true for his first FF team at Kentucky, led by 5* recruit and NBA superstar Josh Harrellson?

Jones, Lamb, Knight, Liggins...?

Best class in the history of CBB, absolutely insane and to me the most impressive part is pulling it after the soap opera that was this year. Will be very interesting to watch, see if he can gel them, and keep everyone happy...anything less than a final four would be a failure.

In other words...Another bunch of one and dones for UK...Maybe its just me but what is the excitement in getting a bunch of players who are only going to be playing for ONE year and using your school for NBA contracts?...I remember players staying for 3-4 years before declaring....Times sure have changed.

A total of two first-rounders, one of whom is in the D-League right now? Would you like to compare that talent to the UNC team they beat?

Roy chokes a lot with great talent: Pierce, Vaughn, Pollard, and Lafrentz.

I think Cal chokes very little; but I also think he never gets more out of teams than their talent merits. Might be an unfair criticism because he usually has so much talent.

I definitely wouldn't say that freshman Knight, freshman Jones, freshman Lamb, Liggins, and Harrellson constitute a Final Four-caliber roster.

Miller started most of the season over Liggins.

Neither did most of the Kentucky fans who expected an early exit that year, especially after Kanter was ruled ineligible.

They both started over Lamb, really. But we're in agreement.
