Today was the first time I've had to sit close enough to Kentucky fans to be able to hear them. Here's some sweet trash talk I overheard:

(Band playing Rocky Top)

UK fan: Is dat da only song yall know how to play?
UT fan: Yep, it's all we need
UK fan: Yea yall not got nuff intelijuns to play anythang else
UT fan: Nice insult...

I don't think my spelling fully encompasses how redneck their section was. I know we play Rocky Top a lot, but we have several songs and cheers and whatnot. All they can do is chant "go big blue".

Cal is scum, the unibrow is fugly, and kensucky will never win a championship with a team full of freshman

oh i can hear the redneck grumble in my ear now, "dont yins know some of that there cat musik"

Narrow mindedness at its finest. SEC fans all have pride. I wouldnt hesitate to give 99% of VN my good ol' finger either.

Anyway, great game.

Kentucky fans all know Cal is the biggest cheat out there. They just don't care. They've always been a "win at any price" program in basketball. But I guess that's because that's all they have to hang their hat on. It will be hard not to laugh when it blows up.

can we pretty please avoid at all costs turning this into another thread that gets turned into being about pearl

The KY troll who is hiding behind a neutral screen name with no avatar brought him up.

At least it wasn't a Vol this time.

We'll see. If it happens...I'll be the first to say I was wrong...

He has been an a$$ in the past...but I think he's been clean so far at UK. I hope.

he doesnt need to be dirty at uk to get players there and that has been proven. with his recruiting ability which he does have some without cheating, and reputation of putting players in the nba the players pretty much call him themselves and ask to come there.

Where's the evidence that it is proven. Proven.....really? :eek:lol:

If they weren't so hard-up to win at men's basketball, they wouldn't have touched Calipari while Memphis was being investigated and then penalized. Wait for it...a KY fan will no doubt jump in here and point out that Calipari was individually cleared.

Not going to go as far as doing that; but, until he is accused and ruled of doing wrong AT KENTUCKY, this conversation is outdated and pointless.

Honestly, I don't see how you or I could possibly know how clean or dirty he has been while at UK, unless you have connections I lack.

Two programs went on probation due to actions that occurred while Calipari coached there. How is that outdated and pointless?

It's really simple. UK fans HOPE Calipari is not breaking rules at UK.

And, I hope otherwise. :eek:lol:

Given UK's history and Calipari's history, I'd say it's definitely possible that something's drawing all of these blue chippers that's not on the level.

Put yourself in our shoes. Seriously. Think of how you'all much your football program. Think of how many times this is brought up. Now put yourselves in our shoes. Wouldn't it get old after a while? Hence, outdated. It is pointless because the past is the past is the past. He is not at UMASS or Memphis anymore. As I said. Until he is caught red handed at Kentucky, there is no reason to talk about it.

I see your point. If I were in your shoes, I would enjoy the ride for however long it lasts and hope it doesn't end ugly. That's really the only thing you can do.

Now, try on our shoes. What else are we supposed to hope for with basketball other than a program-damaging investigation? I don't even want to think about Calipari having a long, clean tenure at UK with a roster always full of NBA players.

And, he doesn't have to be caught red-handed at KY for KY to get hit. That would be the true irony, and what many Memphis fans are probably hoping for. I hate UM, but think about what it must have felt like to have a season tossed out and go on probation while your coach rides off to take a new team to the promised land.

Anybody who hated UK basketball, before Calipari, really HATES UK basketball right now. And, it's not just because you're winning. We've had decades to get used to that.

Maybe if we beat UT 26 years in a row in basketball...you would understand. Maybe.

I have said this before...UK hasn't had any issues for a long time. I do have a few connections at UK. I was told that cal as an assistant that follows him everywhere to keep him in line.

Yes, cal did run from programs after they/him were punished. But admit it, he is a great coach. He has taken 3 programs to final fours. Hell, anyone that takes UMass to a final four should get a gold medal.

Exactly. I'm sure their night is ruined now as they ride back to lexington and sign autographs, then to all the horny white chicks and free booze that awaits them at some house on campus.

Wonder if Jon Hood gets to go to those parties, or does he have to do MKG's laundry?

:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:
