I think we'll see a difference once all of Gillispie's players are gone. They'll have no veteran leadership at all after that.

i think this goes unappreciated by a lot of the uk fans now that buy into all the freshman hype. what goes unnoticed is i think without patterson that first team is 3 or 4 games worse, same can be said about last years team with no harrelson or liggins, and this year miller was the guy holding them together for awhile early on. as you stated it will be interesting to see how they play with no leaders.

Dunno. I'm guessing the NCAA would erase it from their records. But the point is that they were good enough to be there.

no it doesnt technically count neither does memphis that is why the poster said that he only has the 1 becuase technically the other 2 dont count.

You realize only 1 BillyG player (who does something) is there. Miller.

And Miller doesn't lead them by far. Davis has been carrying them. I do get ur point tho.

If it's vacated, then it doesn't count. They broke rules on the way to the first two Final Fours that BPC mentioned, so, no, they don't count.

Miller was slated to start the year in the starting five, and did, but Gilchrist was playing absolutely too well in practice and in games not to give a chance. Miller slumped two games while while Gilchrist excelled. In the press conference after the game, Cal was quoted saying "Michael likely played himself into a starting position tonight." After this, Gilchrist went to Cal and told him he didn't want to start, or have to start, and to leave Miller in the lineup if it helped chemistry. But Miller is gamer as well, and told Cal that he wanted to come off the bench where he felt just as comfortable. So now you have the current starting line-up, with both players playing 30 minutes a game anyway.
