Tee Martin helped lead UT to a national title.

You know how much he brought in for the athletic program and prestige he helped give the university?

If anyone can say the same, then stand up and announce it.

Why is it everything that doesn't go our way sits the progrom back 5 years. According to my math between Dooley and Kiffin and now Martin I think we are about 25 years away from competing again.:crazy:

To all you people whining about tee not coming please shut your childish pie hole!!!!! He made an adult choice, he owes you or UT anything!!! Get over it he did great things for us but he has his big boy panties on now and has the choice to keep his current job if its best for his family. No wonder so many coaches or players don't wanna come here because of ignorant fans like the ones complaining. He is a WR coach boy that will be hard to find and tee would have been the savior....lol grow up people

Me too. Just because you are not a fan of or play for Tenn, you are automatically a POS. Seriously, could someone do a demographics study on VN. Whats the average age of posters on here? 12?.

Tee did what he felt was best for him and his family. Would people on here like him better had he not acted interested and told us to go screw ourselves and not been interested.

Havent seen anyone blast the great John Gruden on here because he turned us down. Hell no, we just blast the new coach who is excited beyond belief to be here.

Good luck Tee. Thank you for waiting on Peyton to leave instead of transferring and thank you for leading us to and winning the national championship.

I've echo-ed this for the last year and a lot lately.

I think our fanbase is close to the top of the college ranks when it comes to complaining. There are a bunch of whiners around here.

What I really can't understand is why anyone one would even want to coach at UT with our great fans.....I've flushed smarter things down the toilet.....Spent 42 years of my life playing and coaching football.....It hit me one day that the parents and fans knew more about coaching than I did.......So, I said hell let them do it and I quit....

I heard there was large group of fans at Calhouns, so as a sign to impress Tee, they preceded him into the restaurant, got everyone's attention, and made a grand announcement of "please welcome Coach Martin!". Everyone started booing and a food fight riot broke out. Tee left, and felt scorned at his reception.

The fact that Tee turned down the Vols is unfortunate.....knowing that he chose to stay on Kiffin's staff makes it maddening.....Tee is one of my favorite Vols of all time, but this has definitely affected the way I think of him.
