You have got to be kidding!!!! Strike the post and poster from this site! This is a business decision and he made one for the best interest of his family - not UT football. The people who are bashing TEE need a life outside of UT football.

I hope this comment and the number of 'likes' is not reflective of most Vol fans. It's filled with small-minded thinking. Please, don't ever go Full On Retard. Martin is always welcome in Tennessee. Quick, what other QB is still around that led Tennessee to a National Championship? Yes, I too have flown to interviews and decided (after gathering all the facts) that the job was not for me. Oh, how rude of me. If Tee blossoms in to a great recruiter and coach (and the timing is right), you're going to look the other way? Not me, I'll welcome him with open arms. We need more coaches with former Vol connections.

What got me is he said he gave his word to little lane, the man that ran and I mean ran of into the night and left Tennessee holding the bag, and sit this program back 5 years or more, thats the man he gave his word to, lost respect for T.:rtfm:

I think what suprised me most wasnt that he turned us down. But that he has a son that lives here in Knoxville. Why wouldnt a dad want to be as close to his son as possible?

Specifically why is Tee Martin a good or great WC coach? Has he spent years perfecting his craft? Has he wanted to be a coach since he was a little kid? etc. No, he was a good athelete, a back up to Manning (and didn't start until his Senior year), was lucky enough to be the quarterback on a team that won the national championship (our defense was the star that year- thanks Chief), and that was it. I'm sure there are dozens of professional coaches available that are better than him. He doesn't want the job - so be it.

idk what your smoking but i want some!!...how can u say tee martin doesn't owe UT if it wasn't for UT as a school,coaches,Players etc... where would tee martin be?? who knows if we would even know who the hell tee martin is!!
