Just to clear up the dissatisfaction...

Throw yesterday's game out.. Too depleted to think you could hang with the Dogs this year..A better situation at QB may have made it a little more respectable.. Just don't have the roster to absorb that many injuries.. Be hard on some of these better teams. Injury bug has bite this team pretty hard

Still more fight than we got from pruitt or jones. But yes, underwhelming on the losses to say the least

I wonder if not playing Nico is by prior agreement. Because, loyalty is not really part of the formula for playing the guys that give you the best chance to win AND putting the players in a position to succeed. Loyalty, while admirable, is not part of the art of war.

Injuries this year have been insane. The boys need to hit some yoga

Vandy has an open date - do not be surprised if that is a really cl ose game. Vols are down to walkons at some positions so it is not that much of a talent gap and the motivation factor will favor Vandy. Hopefully Nico will get his chance and can put points on the scoreboard.

Pathetic and pitiful effort. An F for effort
What's missing? Pride, passion hard hitting meanness from the trenches outward. We need new offense and defense coordinators and better recruits. I don't believe we put our very best 22 players on the field at any one time. Why? i don't know. Players should be actually competing for playing time every week no matter what position. Loafing ands poor execution should not be tolerated. Conditioning should be a top priority.

Agreed! Cam Seldon looks the part but why hasn't he got much playing time. arion Carter looks the part. We need tough guys like we had in Al Wilson's day and Reggie White's. Milton seems scared of contact lol. Too many softies anymore. And please can we get rid of that music in the stadium they play over the speakers, absolutely unnecessary. We need old school football back!

If Milton (or any other player) is on the sidelines laughing when we're losing, the coach needs to be laying into them. That's an attitude and focus issue that has to be resolved. You don't see the real competitors laughin it up when they're losing. They are pissed and they want to win.

From what I am seeing, the outrage and dissatisfaction is not because of a 7-4 record. It is because of the effort or lack thereof and not even being competitive in those 4 losses.

Can't speak for everyone else but your 100 percent correct in my opinion.

No shame in losing to Bama and Georgia. They are heads and shoulders above almost everyone else from a talent stand point. Maybe Ohio St is up there with them but that's about it.

Not putting a complete game together against either of them is disappointing though. Yesterday felt like it was over midway through the 2nd quarter and the Vols didn't come out of the tunnel at half time against Bama.

The Missouri and Florida games are different matters for me.

The Vols are close if not better than those two at this point talent wise and they simply got their a##es beat in the trenches in both games. Just speaks to an overall lack of toughness and focus in this version of the Vols.

No dogs. No Al Wilson personality on the team. Hate to generalize but very millenial team. That seems to reflect Milton to a tee.

For all that though, remember, Josh Dobbs willed this team to 8-wins. This team will win 8 without that kind of performer at any position. And we won 11 last year. Not sure Josh H. is or ever will be a Saban or Smart. But this is still a quality team that we haven't seen since the Fulmer days. If Nico is a leader and if we can pick up some LB leaders in the portal or a ball hunting safety - we may be competitive next year. If we can find some players who can pick up a team from 21 - 3 down to undefeated Arkansas, we'll be in the hunt and in the mix.

(I think CJH has to think about his defensive coaching set-up. He may need to shake that up.)
Lol, millennial generation? Like the same one that hasn't had the benefit of Reagan's country ruining policies like you boomers had and want to think that you're the generation that has it rough. Get ****in bent

I'd much prefer an Al Wilson type to slap the smile off Joe's mug and threaten to kick his butt if he doesn't give his all in the game.

I’ve read all these posts/comments and in my very humble opinion we are disappointed in the effort not the program itself. The only fact is that we as Volnation only ask for one thing “I’ll give my all for Tennessee “ am I wrong here ?

They lost to UGA/Mizzou by 34 points, we lost by 57....

Is it really a lack.of effort as much as we were simply worn down on defense? Sure, there were some lapses where players showed poor effort. But generally speaking I think our offense was inefficient, and our defense could not hold up over the course of the game. And unfortunately, we were also outmatched in the trenches the last two games. But, I wouldn't put it as an effort issue. Maybe a lack of discipline and focus st times.

The Defense cannot play 45 minutes out of 60. Offense hasn't held their end up. Joe misses too many opportunities. Plain simple truth.

The effort is pitiful on both sides of the ball.
I saw some pretty good effort from Teelander at LB. But, hell anyone would wear out on the field all day. All in all Tenn just got out talented. Uga's 3rd string is better than Tenn's starters; with a few exceptions.

Just please start calling penalties on our opponents. So many hold calls that were never called on UGA on big plays and scores.

Another no call. They never have third and 20 because these Holds go unnoticed.
