As a 55 year Vol fan that grew up and lived in Hokie country this is going to be an amazing event. Forget 2009 or any records when this game is played. For these young men to be playing in an atmosphere like this will be a lasting memory. Talking heads are saying they can't get 160,000 fans. HA With 100,000 rabid Vol fans and 80,000 Hokie fans this will be a scalpers paradise.
I have been talking about my twin grand sons been future Vols. They will be 5 years old then and we have decided this will be their 1st game since its only 60 miles from home. So I'm going after 6 tickets ASAP> :clapping:
Going to be great. GO VOLS!!!!!!!!

That's crazy considering we just had over 102,000 for a regular home game. Bristol is a closer tennessee location than Knoxville for some of the people that travel all the way to Knoxville. I think it'll get pretty packed. Everyone will want to go just to experience it and say they were there. Also I'm sure people will try to get a record number for a football game.

I'm looking forward to it! My daughter will be 5 when this game happens too, so should be able to take her!

Dumb idea, IMO. I foresee a major flop. They'll be giving tickets away in the weeks leading up to it. I see what they're aiming for, but when the best seats need binoculars.....

Alot of people will be going for the tailgate. Nascar used to let anyone camp until there wasnt enough room for campers with tickets. Alot of people will show up for this game.

I will agree with a lot, but not 160,000. And when the grandstands aren't packed, it will look really bad.

How many people would actually be willing to sit in Turn 3 just to say they were there for "the experience?"

Some people on VN would b***h about a double jointed super model...with an oral fixation...that grew their own weed...and had access to free concert tickets.

You think there were 102,000 people in Neyland for the last game? Were you there? There were a lot of empty seats.

Uga returned lots of tickets.

We'll be good by then and our fans will go. Were passionate and we should get quite a few wins in 2016. Also these recruiting classes will build up our hype

I dont understand all the complaining about distance and all that. This is a really unique event worth going to just for the spectacle. I can say for certain that there is no doubt that I will be there just to see it and to root for the Vols.
Some people like to actually watch the games.

I think I will make this trip, take the RV down, camp, tailgait, drink and mingle, then watch it on the big screen from the parking lot!! Sounds like a win win to me!!

It wasn't just UGA fans that didn't show up, though. The upper sideline was pretty empty, as well.

I'm not sure about this event, but there won't be more Hokies than Vols there if I can help it. We've reserved 4 tickets.

I think we'll greatly outnumber them. I think we'll be getting really good by 2016 and our recruiting classes will build up hype (along with the hopeful W's in 2014/2015) so our fans will be ready to experience something awesome.

Think: this will be Hurd/Kelly Jr. and the legacy class' junior year. And I think we'll have a sophomore class of beast talent as well

Exactly. I'm not really a fan of the BMS thing, but if they're going to do it, I'm going to be there.

How many people have actually been to a race at bristol? There's not a bad seat in the house. The top seats in the upper deck will still be able to see the game with no problem.

Yeah, watching cars go around the track (which is closer to the stands). It's going to be hard to see people on a football field in some places.
