Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed away

You do remember that Anita Hill was also black, right? In that situation, dems have always erred on the side of believing the woman accuser. It really wasn't a race issue, although Thomas did try to make it one with his famous "high tech lynching" comment. Both the accuser and the accused were black.

Come on... how else was she going to know about a porn movie called "Long Dong Silver"?
Unless her name is Tara Reade

I agree with that but putting all hopes in an election of a politician seems a bit silly , I think that’s what happened in 2016 and why so many literally fell apart .

And lives have been destroyed, wars started, food scarce, no jobs, high inflation in past 4 years. Up until COVID, I thought we were doing very well.

Um might want to check your history here....especially involving the Kennedys, Clinton, and Biden

... with a few exceptions, those Dems (such as Jesse Helms) switched sides following the Civil Rights movement. And you know that, what a weak thing to say.
Sure they did. The South voted overwhelmingly for Carter in 1976. That was after the Civil Rights laws. Also, Clarence Thomas referred to it as a lynching by the Senate Democrats.

The parties have changed a great deal since then. You know this. You arguments are disingenuous. You are smarter than you let on.... kinda.

It's not far fetched to think she's seen several in person. But that movie name alone makes me spit my sprite on the keyboard.

That National mistake is your point of view. What was once great about this country is we could have a difference of opinion and still get along. In 2020, that’s no longer the case. Whether it be in the streets or on Volnation nobody can state their case without being belittled or name called for that belief.

I typically don’t agree with anything you say but I can respect your opinion and you as a human being. However, that is part of the problem nobody respects anyone who has a different opinion anymore.

Why is that? I don’t care if you’re right or left. Each is entitled to that opinion. Trump didn’t create this just like Obama didn’t. We the people created this by getting away from the foundation of what made this country great.

Yes, people and probably you, will disagree with my point of view and say the foundation is laden with cracks and built poorly. I’m ok with that and can respect a healthy debate just like I can respect you and grab a beer with you even though we don’t agree.
I have no problem with most differences of opinion.
But if someone had the opinion that we should bring back slavery, I would have a problem with it.
If someone had the opinion that the sexual exploitation of children should be legal, I would have a problem with it.
I said from day one and have never wavered, Trump crosses the line of acceptability.
I feel more justified in the correctness of that position than ever before.
My opinion was, is, and will always be, that the election of Trump was a national mistake of historic proportions.

It was not about who lost but who won.
Unacceptable and unpardonable.
We can finally turn the page in November.

Fact: Stormy Daniels once "starred" in a movie called "On Golden Blonde". (a play on words from the Henry Fonda and Katherine Hepburn movie) You have to admit, these porn producers do come up with clever titles.

Is this true?

I read that in an article earlier. My first thought was "what if every SCOTUS justice made that wish?". Truth of the matter is, GOP controls the Senate which allows them to push though another pick if they so choose(which they probably will). If the Dems had controlled the Senate when Obama was ending his Presidency, Garland would be a Justice now. It's not about what's right or wrong for either side. It's about what they can get away with. If roles were reversed, Dems would absolutely try to push a candidate through. This is how politics work, and both sides use the same tactics, so getting upset by it is pointless. If you want better, the entire system has to change, not just people being happy because which ever party they pledge allegiance to comes out on top.

You mean you think Trump will be unseated and you can take solace that one of your own is back in power. If it happens your way and Kamala is the activist we all believe, it's going to get a lot worse.
Only one primary objective. Trump has to be gone.

SIAP but what if the election comes down to a Supreme Court decision and it's a tie? Anybody have a clue about what would be next?

I saw a title(not the movie) that played off Clear and Present Danger to become Rear and Pleasant Danger.
