Does his Throwing motion scare anyone else as much as it does me? I understand the kid won a lot of awards coming in and had some high praise. I just feel his wind up takes FOREVER and a good Defense is going to take advantage of this. Just some thoughts as I watch the OW game, sorry to be debbie downer:loco:

This can be a problem when facing an SEC defense. The South Carolina game comes to mind when considering how fast he needs to get rid of the ball.

What worries me is how far the ball comes back on his motion. Maybe it's just me though.

What worries me is every time I've seen him in action the last 2 years he has been terrible

No that's a lot of what I am talking about and the lack of completions and pass break ups is proving my point. It just takes forever to get out and doesn't look to have the zip on it to make up for it. I think it's as bad as telegraphing and watching one receiver the whole way down the field! I feel for the kid and hope he can produce as he is the elder statesman in the QB room, I just think some of these SEC defenses are gonna destroy the kid and Dobbs or Petermen will be seeing a lot of PT.

He's good at at completing intermediate routes, but struggles when it comes to the deep ball. Nice arm but accuracy needs work. I'm not too worried about his throwing motion though.

Folks, no matter who the starting QB ends up being we‘re just going to have to take our lumps until he aquires enough real on field experience and learns how to win. My advice to everyone is not to get caught up in wins and losses this upcoming season and just enjoy the process of seeing this team develop and get better each week. I just hope we reach 6-6 and make a bowl, mostly for the extra practice but also to continue momentum and show recruits that we are heading in the right direction.

Danny wueffel had one of the worst throwing motions ever, but it work in college. Ainge and Clausen's wasn't that good either, this isn't the NFL. QB's can get by with alot in college.

:boredom:

No but Florida, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Florida State did.

And the University of Jesus H. Christ too. :glare:
Spurrier saw in Worley exactly what Worley is. A great hi school QB with an average arm, a long throwing motion, no feet or quicks and no real upside. Dooley saw a publicity coup. "Gatorade Player Of The Year" no one else really wanted. :eek:lol:

So this very same Worley - who had starts as a Frosh - still looks like a deer in headlights

Worley pumpshiners! Get over it. Like Simms, he will be toast in a matter of time.
