I can't honestly say I know what this is like. I'm certainly no celebrity myself. Famous people can be harassed these days in ways that have never been possible before (twitter etc) and I understand that. It sucks. But, though I was young at the time, I seem to recall a certain Tennessee quarterback who, despite his famous last name and the boatload of press dumped on him, kept his head about him and handled the attention with the class and grace that's become the trademark of his career. And if I was a Tennessee player learning the ropes of being a local celebrity, I might give him a call. I think he'd be happy to share a few words of advice.

I have no idea whether or not Hurd steals or thinks that he is above the law at U.T., but fans who overlook character flaws because the person plays football are enablers in my mind.

A couple of people didn't get it. I was criticizing over zealous fans, and not the player, of whom I had no knowledge.

I had 3 of my responses removed by the moderator on this one thread. Two were perceived to be critical of the moderator himself. This one may get dumped also.
