Again, don't disagree. He put himself in that position as well as put his hands on the M player, he's got to go too. He is culpable to an extent.

Watch him put his hand in the M player's chest and watch Howard's reaction.

I hold everyone accountable for their actions. If a rioter throws a brick through a window, or hits an innocent bystander, take them to jail and prosecute them. If a coach hits someone on the court, fire him If someone hits a cop at the Capitol, or breaks in, take them to jail and prosecute them too. That said, people also have a right to protest, peacefully. You pulling Howard into a conversation of “peaceful protestors” just highlights a hateful kind of ignorance we don’t need.

Howard still has a players mind. He can’t be so singularly focused like he’s one of the guys. He represents the University of Michigan, The greatest public University in the history of the world, just ask an alum. Nobody GAF if he’s from Chicago or if someone touched his arm wrong. You walk away from the situation and be better for it.

If a head coach in any league doesn't have the composure and leadership skills to avoid a situation where his players could have been hurt, he should not be representing a state University

Suspended for the rest of the season. Kinda glad to be wrong that he wasn't fired. I believe in second chances and having a high-profile coach at a big basketball school is good for college hoops.

Just regular season. If they qualify for the B10 tourney and are selected to participate in either the NCAA, NIT, or CBI, then he’ll be back this season.

I think Big 10 should suspend Howard thru rest of this season/postseason.

I think Big 10 should suspend Wisky HC and Asst Coach at least 1 game. Maybe raise it to 2 game suspension for Asst Coach for pushing (however slightly) the UM player and UM Asst.

There is at least one UM and one Wisky player throwing hands, so unfortunately they should be suspended at least 1 game.

UM may want to fire Howard. Their call. If they keep him, as mentioned by a few posters here, they need to “program” him to act as a dad/mentor, not an older player.

And do away with postgame handshake lines. I realize opposing players and coaches have friendships, and were former AAU or high school teammates in some cases. If they want to go hug someone on the opposing team, fine. Just don’t line everyone up on both teams when emotions are still wound up. I’d suggest just the head coaches shake hands if they want.

B10 doesn’t have that power to suspend Howard for that long. The most that they are allowed to suspend a coach is two games.

According to ESPN, Big Ten suspended him for the rest of the regular season which is 5 more games.

Dan Wetzel, who broke the story, said it’s the University that is suspending him. It was discussed ad nauseam yesterday on Twitter that the B10 couldn’t suspend him for more than two games.

Who was the sports writer who said Tennessee shouldn’t have any fans in the stands the rest of the season after the ole miss game? What’s he think about Juwan who punched another coach on the floor still having the chance to coach again this season?
