I agree 100%. This isn’t an isolated incident as he appears to become aggressively angry regularly. He’s also a huge man who could easily injure someone. Michigan better have deep pockets if they keep him and another incident happens.

It’s just a matter of time before he gets angry and decks someone or worse. When I said the slightest thing sets him off, it’s not an exaggeration. He’s like a thug version of Will Wade, but actually throws hands.

I think it’s pretty simple for UM. If Howard refuses to publicly apologize for his actions, he’s fired.

If he publicly apologizes, then he is suspended for rest of the season but keeps his job.

Howard needs to be aware that this isn’t just about him . Everything that took place between the two teams after that open handed swing or however anyone wants to describe is largely the result of him escalating things . What if a Wisconsin player absolutely laid out a Michigan kid and broke his jaw? That’s a kid that’s supposed to be under Juwan’s watch, he told that kids family he would look out for him. Good chance that wouldn’t have happened if that skirmish wouldn’t have been escalated by the Head Coach. Good thing that it didn’t .

Man, that ain't much of a grab. He really just puts his hand on Howard's upper arm/elbow and slightly pushes it in kind of a "Hey, I want to say something to you" gesture. Juwan then immediately overreacts and grabs Gard's pullover.

He won't be fired - the media mob that usually overreacts to these things is preaching everyone not to overreact (that's rich coming from the media). I predict a suspension through the end of the season; it would amount to 5 games + however many conference tourney games they played.

Innocence is a little subjective. Did he play a part? Well, sure. But Gard wasn't looking for fisticuffs and may have actually kept walking until Howard opened his mouth.
