Karma?

Oh I wasn't disagreeing with you or anything, just posted another saying in case the OP didn't like that one either.

You're completely right. In the world of college football, it comes down to winning and not making your boss look like a fool for hiring you. If one of those two things are not in line, you'll lose your job in a hurry.

Oh I know - I was actually disagreeing with myself :) Winning is all that matters. If you're winning, you'll keep your job unless you compromise your employer (like Petrino did) or do something like kill somebody.

this will sound bad, but in this economy. I would not care. on a side note noway would I know someones history. If the bank tells me they have the money I sell.

Times are tough, I understand.

Me on the other hand, probably would not if I knew the background. Just convictions I suppose.

ok lets pretend you don't get a check every week, and that you are paying a morgage on a house your trying to sell in a huge housing collapse. then lets pretend that you have to go over every week to mow that yard. do your convictions falter a little?

I might not be getting paid after the 1st as it is. So there is that...

But anyway, I will say probably not. I'm in an unusual circumstance as it is so it's hard to say my convictions would falter. But for the moment, I'll say no.

fair enough, and I hope I didn't sell a house to someone like that.

On a side node, the housing market crash lasted 3 years.

I bought alot of land for cheap from people that was desperate. Is that bad Karma?

No, karma has nothing to do with it. If you swindled people out of their property, it could come back around. But buying low and selling at a profit has nothing to do with karma.

This thread should probably be in the Pub. Seems a better place for it.

I just wanted to know why people believed in karma, and I took it to far. thank you for the debate, Grand Vol. :hi:

why do people believe in this? its almost as annoying as fans telling other fans to take one game at a time.

I've seen people say Karma a few hundred times today. It does not exist.

Karma in the supernatural sense may not exist, but doing bad things/deeds tends to lead to bad things, doing good things/deeds tends to lead to good things.

I know what Karma mean, but why do people believe it? no one believes in the tooth fairy, or santa clause. some people do belive in astrological signs.

"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." = karma.

When someone has something bad happen, you remember they are a jerk and think Karma. Just as you hear, well my grandma smokes and is 98, so smoking is not bad. It is just one observation that one is using to reinforce a concept.
The same idea in nursing, some say the ER always is worse during on a full moon. Research has shown statistically that it is not worse during a full moon, but when it is bad on a full moon, you remember it and it reinforces the bad concept. You never remember the times when it was a full moon and the ER was empty.

Generally though doing bad things usually put you in situations that increases the probability of bad things happening to you. If I want to lose weight, I must work hard and the weight lose will come. To me that is karma in action and it is more logic than anything else.

I went to high school with a girl named Karma, she was hot! As for Kiffin, I wish he had stayed in Knoxville long enough for us to fire him. I hate to admit it, but I am glad he isn't coaching anymore! He is bad for the game! I think Ed is the same, or worse!!

It's in the Bible, only it's not called Karma, it's called "you reap what you sow!"
