Honestly it’s kinda a guilty pleasure. You couldn’t poke fun of the special needs kid in high school but it’s all fair game with Luther!Don’t know why you guys are playing in the kiddie pool with Luther. He has brought his airplane glue fueled gun control logic to this thread. Cut bait, there are more interesting things to play with.
I will go a step further. For anyone who wasn't rooting against him to start with, I think the vigor of his defense helped him. It was natural, and seemed what one would expect from someone who had endured that kind of character assassination when they were responding to the assassins. I think his vigor showed well for him and poorly on the Dems.I think he handled himself quite well, much better than I would have.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/01/politics/kavanaugh-poll-quinnipiac-confirmation/index.html
Nearly half of US voters say the Senate should not vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court in a poll released Monday.
The poll, from Quinnipiac University, showed opposition to the Supreme Court nominee has grown since last week's hearing before the Senate Judiciary committee where Kavanaugh defended himself against accusations of sexual misconduct.
Overall, 48% of respondents oppose Kavanaugh's confirmation, up from 42% who said the same in early September. Opposition among female voters is higher, with 55% opposing his confirmation, a jump from 47% before the hearing.
64 was the number her friend mentioned.
The relevance to me is with 3 beers she is ready to go, no need to rape her. Difficult to rape a woman who is always willingRelevance? Remember Kavanaugh categorically denies the allegations. Are you arguing that there was some contact but she was really asking for it? Even though that's a terrible argument (the promiscuous can still be sexually assaulted), it would make Kavanaugh guilty of perjury since he denied under oath any encounter, physical or sexual, with Ford.
You would be wrong.

There was another poll that came out that I can’t find the link to now. Surprisingly the split was along party lines and largely unchanged over the last few days of continuous negativity. Shocking right? The comparison poll was taken prior to the allegations leaking. This difference tells us nothing about how people reacted to his response.
Also of interest CNN left out this from the poll
But 49 percent of voters say Kavanaugh "is the target of a politically motivated smear campaign," as 45 percent of voters say he is not a target of a smear campaign.
and
And voters say 48 - 41 percent that Dr. Blasey Ford has been treated fairly. At the same time, 47 percent of voters say Kavanaugh has been treated unfairly while 43 percent say he has been treated fairly.
There’s this “perjury issue” narrative you’re desperately trying to sell and carrying a bunch of water for that’s for sure? When does 2nd shift show up or you just working double shifts for the cause? But there's the perjury issue. Kavanaugh says no sexual or physical contact with her. He can't admit to any sexual or physical contact with her at this point or he'd be confessing to a lie.
I'm not arguing a dang thing. I simply answered a question from another poster.Relevance? Remember Kavanaugh categorically denies the allegations. Are you arguing that there was some contact but she was really asking for it? Even though that's a terrible argument (the promiscuous can still be sexually assaulted), it would make Kavanaugh guilty of perjury since he denied under oath any encounter, physical or sexual, with Ford.
One can defend family and self without flying off the handle. It is just my opinion, but it is much more effective to be calm and cold during confrontation.
And he is up for a Scotus seat; it might not be fair, but the standards are higher than for you or me.
