Kavanaugh Confirmation

I'll play the Ginsberg rule...

20-30 years ago, Senators voted on the qualifications for the job rather than a political position. And that's a damning statement from BOTH sides of the aisle. Now, regardless of the information, less than 15 minutes after he was announced, your boy Chucky made the announcement they were going to oppose. No further information, no credential check, nothing. Just a flat "NO!" And you certainly can't blame the sexual assault allegations for that little turn of events.

Can you admit your party has made a farce of this nomination?

Yes.

They'd have a lot more credibility if they had not knee jerk said no in ten seconds.

Can you admit that blocking a vote in Garland was dirty pool, too?

That's not good but in fairness given all the stories and the speed at which its coming out I don't know but that he is thinking about basically now, i.e. The article is coming up now. I personally don't like that they are out there trying to coach people, but it was 35 years ago. I'm not surprised.

Now we’re talking! This is the exact kind of BS I was expecting to see get drug out all weekend and into today! Finally late Monday evening we’re getting to see some good ole non relevant BS about high school and college drinking in an attempt to smear him further! Well done!

As a bit of an aside, I wonder if the 6 FBI investigations caught this.

Did you read the article? What is there to catch? Two incidents were listed and in neither was Kavanaugh detained or charged.

I can think of a similar one I had AFTER graduation that could be described in a similar fashion as in that article and I know I did nothing wrong. And I know it never came up in my clearance investigation too, I wouldn’t even know how to begin to convey it.

On a more positive note, the local Johnson City tv station covered the Presidential motorcade arrival and showed outside and inside Freedom Hall in J.C., and the area is packed. People were lining the roads all the way back to the Mall, which is probably 3/4 of a mile or more.
