If he would have said anything different, he would he been ripped for it. She sounded sincere in the testimony.............................until people started actually checking the crap that was coming from her mouth.Just keep in mind that the day after the hearing, Trump called Ford "a very credible witness" who provided "very compelling" testimony.
when did it happen? I don't knowJust keep in mind that the day after the hearing, Trump called Ford "a very credible witness" who provided "very compelling" testimony.
Congress doesn't launch one of these official investigations that Kavanaugh talks about, so its a moot point on what his opinion on official investigations is. They "review". calling impeachment an empty threat goes a long way to dismissing the whole system, again not something Kavanaugh even could weigh in on.That’s cart before the horse. As the other guy pointed out: How do you remove a president without an investigation?
That’s assuming impeachment is more than an empty threat, even with an investigation. (Spoiler: It’s an empty threat.)
That portion of the article and his views on executive power have been roundly criticized, and for good reason. I’m not alone on an island, here.
The idea that a legislative body that can’t consistently agree to fund the budget is going to be our only hope in the event of a legitimate problem is laughable.
Trump isn't going to be investigating himself.I get what you’re saying, but It’s not the criminal determination that he’s saying shouldn’t happen. It’s the time-consuming nature of an investigation and if we’ve learned anything congress can drag out an investigation.
Again, this all assumes that impeachment is more than an empty threat which I would confidently argue it is not.
“Even the lesser burdens of a criminal investigation— including preparing for questioning by criminal investigators— are time-consuming and distracting. Like civil suits, criminal investigations take the President’s focus away from his or her responsibilities to the people. And a President who is concerned about an ongoing criminal investigation is almost inevitably going to do a worse job as President.” -Brett Kavanaugh, 2009
He’s saying the president should not be subject to investigation while in office.
You’ve both got it backwards: without investigation, he would never be removed.
Pretty much. She was handled delicately during the hearing and shortly after for that reason. Right, wrong, or sideways. If he would have said anything different, he would he been ripped for it. She sounded sincere in the testimony.............................until people started actually checking the crap that was coming from her mouth.

“These are people — I’m not gonna name names — but I’m not sure they have a soul,” Kennedy said. “I don’t think their mother breast-fed them.”
Carlson broke his serious expression and laughed.
“I think they went right to raw meat,” Kennedy concluded.
