Kavanaugh Confirmation

It is not a fact that he lied. It is your belief that he lied. Unless you've developed telepathy and read his mind, you have no idea what those terms meant to him.
His roommate states categorically that it's a lie. Combine common sense with a reliable witness that is 100% positive and it's enough to tip the scales for a "reasonable" person.

I'd honestly like to hear Luther, Mick, or EL argue this point.
Can you imagine if Clinton's would have been a lifetime appointment. The biggest difference is Clinton was looking at one more year out of eight and K is looking to ENTER a LIFETIME appointment.

if we are going to define people by what they said in high school then no one would ever be capable of being on the supreme court
True. Everyone knows that, so why lie about it? We are not defining him so much by what he said, but by lying about what he said.

I haven't seen this story, I assume you are talking about a college roommate? What did he say the lie was? How would he know what the kids in Kav's high school used for slang terminology? Honest question.

James Roche, one of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's freshman year roommates at Yale, said Wednesday that Kavanaugh lied under oath about his drinking and about the meaning of his yearbook entries.
In an op-ed for Slate, Roche writes, "Brett Kavanaugh stood up under oath and lied about his drinking and about the meaning of words in his yearbook. He did so baldly, without hesitation or reservation."
"In his words and his behavior, Judge Kavanaugh has shown contempt for the truth, for the process, for the rule of law, and for accountability," Roche added. "His willingness to lie to avoid embarrassment throws doubt on his denials about the larger questions of sexual assault."

The guy came across as very level headed in the interview. Not sure if this link actually plays the interview, but you should watch it. Everyone should watch it.

K and his friends continued using the terms in college.

I watched it and its still a he said, she said situation and all it looks like is a witch hunt. Funny, all of these people who are coming out saying that they knew K and he either sexually assaulted me or "yeah I believe her and K was drunk all the time" people are all big supporters of the Democratic Party. You don't find that at least skeptical to the point that there is some doubt if they are actually telling the truth? As you say, any reasonable person would.

I believe Kavanaugh who's had an impeccable record until now over some drummed up person's hearsay. I give the guy the benefit of the doubt and honestly, this whole "you committed perjury" because you lied about having 3 beers instead of 1 is childish.

There is still no proof to date that he has done anything wrong.
