Kavanaugh Confirmation

About the abortion thing, most of the women who protest pro abortion will never have to make that choice... although I did see something funny... View attachment 171218

How the hell you gonna bring a baby to an abortion rally? sheesh.
Here's the disconnect. It's not really pro-abortion. It's pro-choice. It's about the government not controlling what a woman can do with her body. Pro-life folks seem to think they get together and have baby-killing parties or something.

The flaw in our government is giving small population states the same power as large population states. It was done to keep the slave holding states happy and in the union. Now, all it does is arbitrarily dilute the power of progressive voters and enhance the power of conservatives.

The justification for that has not existed for 150 years. It's time to reform the Senate and the electoral process to stop minority rule.
That’s what the House is for

"Kavanaugh will join the Supreme Court despite opposition from senators representing more than half the country, despite more than half the country opposing his nomination, despite being viewed unfavorably by nearly half the country and thanks to a president who is viewed with disapproval by more than half the country and who lost the popular vote.

He will join three other justices who, like him, were appointed by presidents who lost the popular vote."

Senators representing less than half the U.S. are about to confirm a nominee opposed by most Americans

LOL, just more whining!!!

Vol Doc- I call BS on this, If this was only about the government not controlling what women do with their bodies, these same women would be marching in Nevada and elsewhere for legalized prostitution. After all, that is the same thing- a woman choosing what she does with her body. This is all about abortion, Don't be fooled.

I will have to give you credit for an ingenious way of dealing the race card from the bottom of the deck.

I posted this very article earlier this morning. Like a moth to a flame, you found it and still don't understand the difference between a democracy and republic.

disagree because its focused on one procedure and they give hostile treatment to "pro life" people who, if its merely about choice, would be just as accepted.

Disagree. The difference with prostitution is that, in the minds of many, it degrades and exploits women.

There's hostility on both sides. Pretty sure no pro-choice folks have bombed clinics or murdered doctors, though.

O rly. His confirmation is still more bipartisan than Obamacare.

So you are saying that is some minds that killing an unborn child is not degrading and exploitation of women? You are better than this

Look for Rod Rosenstein and FBI documents FISA warrant to be released shortly before the election.. Jeff sessions will be fired the Wednesday after the election

so we are arbitrarily picking when we use the opinions of others. neat.
Prostitution being illegal, in the minds of those who are against it, protects at risk women who comprise most prostitutes. Personally, I'm for legalization of prostitution, FWIW. As with drug use, government legalization and oversight would actually provide more protection than leaving it illegal.

Dumb response is dumb.

My argument is that the Supreme Court is ineffective because we allow politicians to select the men in place to limit their power.

Never said we shouldn’t have a court just that the system is flawed and I don’t think you can fix it.
It's not a dumb response. You either have courts or you don't. If you eliminate the supreme court then the next lower court will be the highest court. Those judges are appointed too. Do we eliminate those courts as well?

Then we agree on this. However, all these protest and "faux" outrage is entirely over abortion. The women's movement only seems to care about one issue. Sad
