I mean yeah. We knew that this stretch without RJ was going to be challenging.

Two losses really hurt- letting the FSU game slip away and wasting RJ's historic game and also letting the ND game slip away. Both games that should have been won (particularly FSU) and it was just poor execution down the stretch that killed the team.

7-3 would not look too bad and far better than 5-5.

But this 10 day break comes at a perfect time for staff and players to regroup. The silver linings have been the play of Powell, Striplin, and perhaps Spears starting to find her mojo.

Hopefully add RJ back in the team and let's see if they can go on a run. If they do, this low point will be seen as a character building challenge and I prefer to not consider the alternative.

It wasn’t this stretch, it’s been there for a few years. RJ out just helps soften the reality.

The outside noise started as a mumble and is now as loud as a 737 preparing for takeoff. A few more losses and those engines are going to be roaring baby. Every jet reaches a point of no return on a takeoff where they can no longer abort. We're close, folks.

Kellie had not made this team rough n tough, they are passive n weak. When are our bigs going to play full time? Goodness sakes, someone make these girls mean

Harper is not really a defensive coach where the players guard the three point line and dominate the rebounding column.
I seem to remember defense being a hallmark of Harper's as Mo State teams even against larger schools. And didn't someone here post that just a couple of years ago, her Tennessee team was one of the top teams in the nation at guarding the three-point line, or am I mistaken?

Seeing this tweet hurts. Neither Texas or LSU were going to make the ncaa tournament the last year of their previous coaches' tenure. The ADs at Texas and LSU had not extended Karen Aniston's and Nikki Caldwell Vargus' contracts. Those ADs went out and gotten proven coaches and now, in less than 4 years, each is a real national championship contender. (Mulkey won her second year). Oh, I wish our new coach had performed as well. It hurts to be a Tennessee Lady Vol fan and watch how our team performs.

That was Kellie Harper. These posts are referring to "Kellie Harper" a quasi-fictional creation who has never won a game and encourages her players to crawl into a fetal position at the first sign of difficulty.

If you are referring to Tamari Key, you might want to do a little research before posting. Recovering from a potentially fatal medical condition does take the wind out of your sails just a bit but sure, that is Kellie's fault.

Statistically, Missouri State was mediocre/average defensively in Harper’s last 3 years there:

2016-17
Scoring defense: 163rd nationally
FG% defense: 208th
Turnovers forced: 214th

2017-18
SD: 132nd
FGD: 252nd
TF: 170th

2018-19
SD: 138th
FGD: 148th
TF: 112th

We've had 2 seasons under Harper with very good 3-pt FG% defense:
2019-20: 42nd (28.5%)
2020-21: 167th (31.3%)
2021-22: 47th (27.9%)
2022-23: 167th (31.0%)
2023-24: 334th (37.4%)
