Some guy named Tyler Fawbush (son of a guy on their search committee) posted that the contract was signed.

His twitter picture is him in a shark costume. So....I mean I don’t know ha.

And a good chunk of our fanbase wants to hire freaking Dan Mullen?

Looks like UT might have to settle for another mediocre hire while UF makes a Homerun Hire.

Not looking forward to the UT-UF series next several years if that happens.

Franz Beard and Buddy Martin are actual journalists and they have claimed it's done.

Writers for a few websites.....not fans posting crap, but the writers on those sites, have confirmed it's done.

They don't post something unless they have confirmed it.

I'm normally like this too.

I don't like sounding like the guy from the Grudemonium video.

"we hired him. They just can't announce it until December 14th." That stuff.

But, the people putting this out would not unless they knew for sure.

It’s deeper than that right now, way deeper. Even sideline reporter Brady Ackerman is saying it’s done.

Was Kelly a GA at UF sometime in the past? Was his wife a UF cheerleader? Are his kids enrolled in UF? Does he own some land in/near Gainsville?

If you answered yes to any of the above you’ve got your own version of Grumors going on!

Hell right now based on what people can actually confirm even if you don’t have any of those signs you’ve got your own Grumors going on.

Might wind up being true don’t really know. But this “evidence” is thin as hell right now.

Just saying.. it would be the slowest moving leak in P5 coaching search history. Kelly to UF is a BIG DEAL in the media world. No way in hell a couple lower level guys have the scoop with the mainstream guys on the outside looking in for this long. JMO.

Yahoo sports now reporting it.... Meanwhile, is there a scarier hire than Chip Kelly at Florida? Two-time national coach of the year, perennial top 5 offenses, the man Urban Meyer called “a football genius.”

Game changer felt all the way to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

NFL Reporter Benjamin Albright:

Been told twice tonight that they expect the Chip Kelly saga should wrap up directly with him being named the new head football coach of the Florida Gators. Not official, but these two are pretty reliable.
