Nice call on Joey Bosa and Jalen Ramsey. Kelvin Taylor has been cut twice. Myles Jack had sixteen tackles. Christian Hackenburg is still 4th string. Taylor Decker had an excellent rookie year. You got Shepard right. So 15% right isn't horrible I guess.
We're only one year in. Don't get too excited.
(1) Joey Bosa had a lucky season. He's an effort player. Once guys figure that out they'll begin to nuetralize him. If you watched his sacks last year, he didn't get alot of them by beating his man with speed or power. It was typically on plays where the pocket broke down because of another player's pass rush and the QB is moving around and the lineman blocking Bosa doesn't know where the QB is and Bosa gets a lucky sack.
(2) I never said Jalen Ramsey would be a bust. I just said he was overrated and that Karl Joseph and Keanu Neal would be better. Neal had arguably the best rookie season of any rookie defensive back last year. And Joseph was one year removed from an ACL injury. I compared Ramsey to Antonio Cromartie before the draft. And I'm sticking to it now. Ramsey will have a solid 10 year career. He'll make 1-2 pro bowls. But he will not be recognized as one of the elite CBs in the league for a long period of time. Similar to how nobody considered Antonio Cromartie an elite corner in the NFL for more than a couple of years.
(3) There have been many great players who have been cut several times by multiple teams before they hit it big. James Harrison and Kurt Warner being the most prominent examples. I'm still supremely confident that Kelvin Taylor will ULTIMATELY prove himself as a better running back than Derrick Henry. For the record, I never said Kelvin Taylor would be great. I only said he would be the second best RB in what was a weak RB draft and that he would be better than Derrick Henry who would be a bust. I still maintain that Henry will be a bust and that Kelvin Taylor will be better. Just wait on it.
(4) I stopped being high on Myles Jack once the information about his knee not recovering came out. There is a post in this thread with me saying exactly that one year ago. Without the knee injury news, everyone had Myles Jack as a top 10 pick. Then the injury news hit and he fell into the 2nd round of the draft.
(5) Christian Hackenburg is garbage. I will freely admit I missed badly on the QBs in 2016. That is the position group I learned the most from last year. With Dak Prescott being the player I learned the most from.
(6) I'll have to watch more of Taylor Decker. I didn't watch him much last year. If he's as good as you say he is, then that's another miss on my part. I've already admitted that I'm not very good at projecting offensive lineman.
