Kelvin Taylor > Derrick Henry...and other bold NFL Draft predictions

I thought this thread was about how Kelvin Taylor was gonna be better than Derrick Henry? I'd love to argue that point, but I'm having trouble finding Taylor's stats to compare to Henry's...

You didn't.

You're the guy who said he wouldn't.

I'm not a self proclaimed expert or experts pretending that I know more than every NFL scout in the country. I don't think he would get the carries this year, but I also said he would do things. I can admit whenever I am wrong, can you? It's called humility, perhaps it's something you were never taught.

Calling players a bust or a HOF in their rookie year shows how little he knows. Elliot could completely flame out after his first year. Ricky Williams looked like a HOF until he didn't.

Question:

If Hurd reaches the HOF as a tight end, do we have to acknowledge that D4H was technically correct?

Defensive Players

1. Myles Jack will be the best player from this class

- I'm also high on Ezekiel Elliott. I go back n forth each day on who is better. Today I'm feeling Jack. This kid has it all. Size, speed, athleticism, and instincts. He's the total package at the Will linebacker position. Don't believe the smokescreen about his knee. He's the #1 player on most teams boards and they desperately want him to fall.

Top 3 LBs in the 2016 Draft

1. Myles Jack
2. Jaylon Smith - if he ever gets back to 100%
3. Darron Lee

2. Karl Joseph and Keanu Neal will make more pro bowls than Jalen Ramsey and Vernon Hargraeves

- Karl Joseph is the best DB in this class and I don't think it's even close. He'll be a pro bowl safety immediately. Keanu Neal will also have a long and successful career.

- Jalen Ramsey and Vernon Hargraeves for all the hype are actually not that great of prospects. They both have glaring weaknesses. Ramsey while incredibly athletic lacks the insticts of an elite DB and also has subpar lateral agility for a CB. I believe he has a career similar to Antonio Cromartie. He'll be a solid 10 year starter. He'll make a pro bowl or two. But he won't be an elite Darrelle Revis type corner.

- Vernon Hargaeves lacks ideal size or speed but has incredible hips and lateral agility. I believe he has a career similar to Brent Grimes. He'll start for a long time. Make a pro bowl or two. But he won't be the elite shut down corner he's been billed up to be.

Top 3 DBs in the 2016 Draft

1. Karl Joseph
2. Keanu Neal
3. Jalen Ramsey

3. All the top edge rushers in this draft will be BUSTS

- Whether it's Joey Bosa or Shaq Lawson or Leonard Floyd, none of these guys projected to go high in the first round will be stars. They'll all be busts given their projected draft position. This draft is severely lacking elite pass rushers.

Nice call on Joey Bosa and Jalen Ramsey. Kelvin Taylor has been cut twice. Myles Jack had sixteen tackles. Christian Hackenburg is still 4th string. Taylor Decker had an excellent rookie year. You got Shepard right. So 15% right isn't horrible I guess.

We're only one year in. Don't get too excited.

(1) Joey Bosa had a lucky season. He's an effort player. Once guys figure that out they'll begin to nuetralize him. If you watched his sacks last year, he didn't get alot of them by beating his man with speed or power. It was typically on plays where the pocket broke down because of another player's pass rush and the QB is moving around and the lineman blocking Bosa doesn't know where the QB is and Bosa gets a lucky sack.

(2) I never said Jalen Ramsey would be a bust. I just said he was overrated and that Karl Joseph and Keanu Neal would be better. Neal had arguably the best rookie season of any rookie defensive back last year. And Joseph was one year removed from an ACL injury. I compared Ramsey to Antonio Cromartie before the draft. And I'm sticking to it now. Ramsey will have a solid 10 year career. He'll make 1-2 pro bowls. But he will not be recognized as one of the elite CBs in the league for a long period of time. Similar to how nobody considered Antonio Cromartie an elite corner in the NFL for more than a couple of years.

(3) There have been many great players who have been cut several times by multiple teams before they hit it big. James Harrison and Kurt Warner being the most prominent examples. I'm still supremely confident that Kelvin Taylor will ULTIMATELY prove himself as a better running back than Derrick Henry. For the record, I never said Kelvin Taylor would be great. I only said he would be the second best RB in what was a weak RB draft and that he would be better than Derrick Henry who would be a bust. I still maintain that Henry will be a bust and that Kelvin Taylor will be better. Just wait on it.

(4) I stopped being high on Myles Jack once the information about his knee not recovering came out. There is a post in this thread with me saying exactly that one year ago. Without the knee injury news, everyone had Myles Jack as a top 10 pick. Then the injury news hit and he fell into the 2nd round of the draft.

(5) Christian Hackenburg is garbage. I will freely admit I missed badly on the QBs in 2016. That is the position group I learned the most from last year. With Dak Prescott being the player I learned the most from.

(6) I'll have to watch more of Taylor Decker. I didn't watch him much last year. If he's as good as you say he is, then that's another miss on my part. I've already admitted that I'm not very good at projecting offensive lineman.

Lucky....lol.

Go watch his sack tape. Almost all of his sacks came from broken plays with the offensive tackle confused about where the QB was because someone else collapsed the pocket and the QB is running around. Bosa got those sacks cause he got lucky about being at the right place at the right time because someone else flushed the QB out.

I will give Bosa some credit because he does have a great motor and keeps working hard even when it looks like his man has him locked up. He got most of his sacks last year because he kept playing hard even when it looked like the play was broken. He did not create as many sacks as the numbers seem to suggest. He's a guy you have to watch the tape on.

Once offensive lineman catch up to his style they'll neutalize him. Bosa simply lacks the explosiveness to be a dominant edge rusher year in and year out.

Stop calling it tape. Using the term "tape" only makes you look even more ridiculous than you already do.

Watched 10+ Joey Bosa sacks from last year. Seven sacks where he clearly beat his man and got to the QB.
