This may be my all-time favorite response to one of my posts. The amount of blissful ignorance displayed in this post is priceless.
First off, to claim that you took the time to register for VolNation just to call me an idiot - wow, that is just pathetic.
Where do you coach? Oh...no where? That's what I thought.
I highly doubt anyone on this entire board is a coach at a major Division 1 program. Nor would I imagine are you, TennTakedown, a coach. So I could ask you the same asinine question. Regardless of that fact, my opinions are still just as valid as anyone else's, barring those who actually coach for UT.
By the way that you type, and probably talk, you're not from the East Tenn area.
This is the single dumbest assessment I've ever read. Where did you get your degree in linguistic forensics?! How were you able to discern that nugget of wisdom?
Unfortunately for you, you are 100% incorrect. I was born and raised in east Tennessee. How exactly do I "type, and probably talk"? Grammatically correctly?
Let me give you my analysis. Your location is listed as "Murvil". Now, I could be wrong, but that sounds like an iteration of "Maryville", but steeped in that "happily redneck" mentality. I'd bet you think that Larry the Cable Guy is just hilarious. "Git 'er dun!"
SO, why don't you just go back to where you came from and quit posting on here because you obviously know nothing of the tradition that is Tennessee football.
Again, go back to east Tennessee? And, I'd venture I've followed Tennessee football longer than you have been alive.
Dooley may be green, but he is also the VOLUNTEER HEAD COACH. So, when he's at the helm, the TRUE vol fans will stand behind and push for their coach not call him a royal f- up.
This is where your true ignorance shines. Never did I, nor would I, call Coach Dooley a royal f- up. He is obviously an intelligent man and a capable, if unproven, football mind. I called the situation, the entire bungled hiring process, a Royal F- Up. Obviously, reading and writing are not your fortes. Which begs the question, are you competent at anything?
Guess what? His dad was an amazing coach at Georgia, so he has the liniage to be one as well.
Lineage (note the spelling) is definitely not a predictor of future coaching success. Mike Shula, Tommy Bowden, Lane Kiffin. Again, your argument is invalid. Not surprising.
Not to mention going 8-4 at LA Tech is pretty much unheard of. Give the guy the credit that is due to him, he did coach on a nat'l championship team.
Many, many, many coaches have been on national championship
staffs. That doesn't mean UT should throw the keys to their program to anybody that has. Dooley wasn't even a coordinator on the LSU championship team.
He also coach in the NFL. So, who are you to say that anyone is green or a Royal F- up that's been to the NFL, you haven't. GO COACH DOOLEY!!!!!! The TRUE vol fans stand behind you.
Let's just ignore the bad grammar, CAPS LOCK mania, and multiple exclamation points and all that implies. A true Vol fan can support the coach and still fully question the hire and the process. When Coach Dooley stands on the sidelines against UT-Martin, I'll be rooting for him and the team to succeed. But until he proves he deserves the title of Head Coach of the Tennessee Volunteers, I choose to reserve judgment.
But, thank you, TennTakedown, for making me laugh this morning.
