Kenny Hall suspended

I heard that he has to order them though, because when he touches the bouqut the flowers get scared and wilt immediately

Is there a reason people in this thread spell Chievous with the e before the i? I started doing that because of this thread but then looked it up and it is Chievous not Cheivous. Inside joke? We are all spelling challenged? Or does utsports.com have it wrong?

I think it's that no one cares where the e or I is. Not trying to be a dick.

I feel ya. Once people realize that you're annoyed with the misspelling, they'll just start doing it on purpose.

Yeah, and if I hadn't seen the ESPN the magazine article on the Kansas-Mizzou rivalry I wouldn't know how to spell it right anyway.

If anyone is still curious, Cheivous is sitting next to student section right now with 1 walk on and the guy that has to sit out.

If this fight is supposedly true and chievous has a broken jaw and nose, as well as will no longer be with the team, expect a lawsuit.

Personally, I don't buy it.

Additionally, I don't know how Stokes would hurt his wrist with a shot to the face, and he'd probably have to land 2 shots to break the nose and jaw. Stokes would throw two shots and not be suspended? That's not a good precedent to set if you are CM. Again, reasons I don't buy the story.

I don't know, with a size 20 shoe, his fist is probably as big as Cheivous' whole head!!!

What if Chievious started it? No lawsuit, and no bad precedent. Personally I can't see Stokes being an aggressor.

the rumor was that Chievous was kicked off the team for fighting and in the hospital having surgery for a broken jaw, which would require his mouth to be wired shut, and broken nose, though Stokes didn't have a scratch on him.

I use common sense to come up with what I think happened for 95% of the stuff I read and common sense tells me that if the above happened and a scholarship was taken away as well as a scarring, physical injury, UT and staff would be sued.

To sum it up, the rumor was bs and all it took was a little common sense to figure it out, rather than searching the net for an answer from people who don't have answers.

The fact that Cheivous had to go to the hospital for a fractured jaw and broken nose was confirmed pretty much everywhere. Someone else was the one who came up with the surgery and mouth wired shut stuff. Cheivous started it, Stokes finished it.

Not to mention the fact that Cheivous was M.I.A. after the fight.

You're still beating this drum? Let it go. There is no " confirmed pretty much everywhere". This was on some Memphis Tigers message board and then you drug it over here. If Chievous had his jaw broken and his nose he would have required medical attention and that type of stuff isn't swept under the rug.

everywhere, or nowhere. What's the difference

A fractured jaw needs to be stable in order to heal. The jaw can only be stable if it is wired shut or plated in surgery to allow no movement of the fracture.

Basically, you don't walk around with a broken jaw and just leave the hospital. It has to be wired, or you have surgery.

I'm no doctor, but I know that there are varying types of fractures and all fractures aren't handled this way.

I'm sure the UT staff saw his broken jaw, decided surgery wasn't necessary, and allowed him to return to physical activity at practice.

That's pretty common.

Not that it really matters, but you are a Fish out of Water. Memphis and Canes Fan living in Knoxville on a Vol Nation Board.

Add to it commenting about UT Basketball. I guess that could be in anticpation of getting to the 3rd round of the NIT.

It's possible. UT hopsital does great work.

Also, Cheivous hasn't been back to practice for the Vols since the incident, if all reports are accurate.

And by everywhere, you mean nowhere other than in your mind.

I've been on this board for a while now, but I am looking forward to a possible Miami-UT matchup.

I have been here for a while to just could not figure it out. The connection. Hard to be in Knoxville and not be a Vol Fan.

I've got what I have begun to call a "healthy respect" for the Vols, both football and basketball. Like most Memphis fans, I used to dislike the Vols without really even knowing why. I grew up a bit, moved here and I have an appreciation for them now. Still can't call myself a fan since I didn't attend UT, so I leave it at "healthy respect".

Wife works for the University so UT pays half the bills too.

Youre dead wrong.

Go watch the vol diaries from the SEC T he is practicing.

He has been present ever since this supposed incident.

Please provide a link of these "reports" you're referencing.

Give it time. It will grow. No matter what sport or who the Coach is. Fans can be irritating but its all about there passion and that is ok.
