Kenny Hall suspended

CM just said Hall will come back if he feels he is ready to come back. He said his first priority is to protect the University. I think he is the right person for the job, he just needs to get his players in. From listening to him I don't think any parent wouldn't want their kids playing and learning from him. I hope we keep him for a long time.

Doesn't sound like anything as simple as smokin' tweeds then. "Protect the University" makes it sound sorta like an NCAA elgibility issue.

are we thinking maybe skipping classes or cheating on test or something? i know CCM is huge on the attendance part and is always checking in with that...

Fortenberry posted that Martin confirmed Hall is still suspended and isn't sure he will be back on the team this year.

I don't think he said what he did. I was listening to him on the radio this morning at work so I might have missed it. Possibly dealing drugs?

That rumor is out there for sure. I don't see how that wouldn't be a flat out dismissal. I doubt that is true.

I agree. FWIW, Kenny lives close to me in the Fort and I've seen him strolling around on many occasions since the suspension.

It wasn't dealing drugs. That would be an automatic dismissal. It wasn't cheating on a test either because that would fall under the university's authority, not Coach Martin's.

He most likely was lax in class attendance, and his grades were starting to reflect that.

Until it is released officially, which it likely never will be, none of us will know. Speculation will run rampant in the meantime.

Very logical post.

However, the CM quote about "protecting the University" makes it sounds possible that this could be a NCAA matter.
