If this fight is supposedly true and chievous has a broken jaw and nose, as well as will no longer be with the team, expect a lawsuit.
Personally, I don't buy it.
Additionally, I don't know how Stokes would hurt his wrist with a shot to the face, and he'd probably have to land 2 shots to break the nose and jaw. Stokes would throw two shots and not be suspended? That's not a good precedent to set if you are CM. Again, reasons I don't buy the story.

I love how the Tatum supporters come out in full force when he has his one good game in a month, but they don't say anything for a month while he is playing like absolute crap. Pretty funny honestly.

Here's my opinion and you can take it or leave it. Tatum input bet option at 3 to start, defensively he is sound an he does hustle and get on the floor. He also has the xpeience of a senior, he for things that'd make you think he's a freshman but he's been in these situations before. Plus, McRae had been such a spark off the bench, you wouldn't get that with tatums offense.
IMO tatum needs to keep starting, we are better because of it and let's hope he plays like he did Wednesday because with him playing that way and golden, mcbee and McRae playing how they have been we are very tough to beat.
Jmo
I say things when he plays badly/average. I still say calling for a guy to be suspended who hasn't done anything wrong is a little low, but if that guy wants to do it consistently, maybe it'll be a good luck charm and Tatum can have a good game every week instead of every 2 or so weeks.
On a side note, kinda sad about Cheivous if true. Didn't get to see him play or hear like anything he has said though, so it's difficult to feel too bad about it, but broken jaw, etc. are never fun.
Also, I wish Hall hadn't made whatever mistake he did. We could use a little more post depth. I hope Woolridge's ankle is better by Saturday, just in case Yemi has defensive lapses like last game.
As an attorney, that was my first reaction as well, especially if Chievous is let go from the team. But Chievous' injuries have been substantiated. How they happened are rumors at best.
But I'm assuming Stokes has hands like sledgehammers, so a good right hand could easily do that kind of damage i it connects cleanly. As for Stokes' wrist, you punch somebody without any sort of wrist wrap, you're going to hurt yourself. Skulls are hard.
True, but you can't forget you were hardcore bashing him a few weeks ago as well.
So Stokes jacks a kid in the face, breaks his nose and jaw, yet isn't punished? CM calling the incident a "tough practice" may come back to haunt him if he is lying.
Just too many factors for me not to believe that's what went down.
You are right I was, but that's before McRae started playing better and before tatum started playing smarter. About 3 weeks ago he was playing like he deserved to be benched, the last 3 weeks or so even with his shot not falling he has been a contributor.
And I love Jordan McRae of the bench, such a threat.
That was my point, the ones who were bashing him can't forget that, now that he is playing better.
I'm not saying this happens but if chievous swing first on him and stokes reacts he should be punished? Not IMO
What do you feel happened? Any fight or something completely different.
And you didn't say one negative about golden, mcbee or McRae all season?
I give criticism where it's deserved and credit when it's due. Tatum a few week ago deserved the criticism, he has upped his level of play and so I am giving him credit. It's not like I said hell never amount to anything I don't think. That'd be making a projection of him never being anything and in that case on yea I'd be wrong, but I don't think I said that, I think I just was criticizing his play.
So if a player in a game takes a swing at Stokes, what does the coach expect him to do? Break his face and sit out several games?
I don't know what, if anything happened, but there are too many variables going on, including the coach and athletic depts responsibilities, to think this was a brawl gone bad. Noses broken are common. The jaw is a very strong bone and would take a direct shot to break it. Breaking the nose with the same shot would be very difficult.
Gotcha. My first response to you wasn't meant as I've been his biggest supporter it just simply is how I feel about him recently and what he's bringing to the table.I agree, I have about Golden an McBee, but haven't McRae.
My main thing was the way you worded your first response, like you hadn't been on him at all........ I have no problem giving criticism and then giving props when they deserve it.
