I'm honestly fine with it from a basketball point of view. Obviously, I hope his family has good health and are in fine shape, but from a strictly basketball perspective I'd like to have that scholarship back to hand out to other people considering the level we are recruiting at.

On Zach Kent and if he plans to return to Tennessee: “No. I don’t think that. He just felt like he needed to step away from basketball. That’s what he felt like. Whatever Zach decides to do, we will support him. He just felt like that’s what he needed to do.”

many of the A-10 schools are on the upswing and have strong academic programs

Agreed. I wanted it to because we needed his size but he played small because he couldn't jump, was sorta weak physically and ran like Lurch.
