I agree. In a vacuum, he's a good coach who runs a good system. He won't satisfy the UK vultures, however.

Look, he’s a good coach. No doubt. But there is nothing scary about him. He’ll field a good team, and we’ll win some and lose some, but he isn’t turning Kentucky into some powerhouse again. This is a downgrade for Kentucky. I’ll take it.

Kentucky fans just learned the same lesson we had to with our most recent football and Lady Vols search.

Having money and tradition is no longer a ticket to get any coach you want.

On paper, it’s a meme hire. But how many people nationally, including within our own fanbase, thought the same of Josh Heupel?

I mean I don’t think he’s a bad coach. And if Kentucky fans “Schiano” him out of town, they’ll end up with someone lower on the totem pole, not higher. They have to swallow the tough pill that this hire is happening because all the big fish said no.
