None of Duke, KY, ISU, MSU, Alabama, Auburn, UNC etc. are major markets, or arguably even mid market teams. College basketball is made up of brands dedicated to basketball success, often because it’s much easier/cheaper to build a basketball team than a football team. As much as I dread your long-winded off-base response, it’s worth noting that these same brands (not in major or mid markets) will continue to spend money on coaches and players, and facilities to maintain the value of those brands. I await your misguided attempt at sharing your high school understanding of geography and Nielsen in defense of an unrelated graph or chart that strains to support your usual nonsense. Godspeed, Cliff Claven.10 of the top 25 lost today. I've said it a million times in FF but its true in basketball also to a lesser extent. Welcome to NIL/Portal parity.
For the next few years it will progress until the evil plan falls in place and it becomes the 2 super conferences using the rest as feeder teams. Its a business. The big and medium market teams will rule over the rest.

Even home grown Kentucky boy Reed Sheppard got in on the actionAll sorts of former Kentucky players like Ty Ty Washington and Jacob Toppin are openly celebrating Arkansas’ and Cal’s win over Kentucky on Twitter. That’s hilarious. Not only do Kentucky fans have no real postseason success to speak of the last half decade, they can’t even remember the regular season wins fondly knowing the players and coach who won them actively hate Kentucky now

Exactly - One minor additional point - have you seen the endowment and list of high net worth alumni at Carolina and Duke - those two can compete with anyone in the country even if their “market” were to be Nome, Alaska …..None of Duke, KY, ISU, MSU, Alabama, Auburn, UNC etc. are major markets, or arguably even mid market teams. I thought a poster said that Kentucky left us wide open by design. Kentucky leaves everybody wide open, we just couldnt make enough shots to catch them. Pope has brought stability to that program but no way will he bring them championships with the way they play D. His offense is superb with all the cutting and spacing they use plus they have shooters. The fan base will turn on him by year 3. Remember, this guy has never won a NCAA tournament game when they hired him. (Utah State/BYU)Kentucky does not play good defense. They allow a ton of wide open shots. We just couldn't make any of ours.
I was gonna post this. LMAO It appears that 'one and done' doesn't lead to much loyalty.Even home grown Kentucky boy Reed Sheppard got in on the action View attachment 718997
