He (Koby Brea) leads the country this year or is very near the top. Had 4 points last night. Either a poor job of finding him looks or a poor job getting open to take them. Clemson put the clamps on him.The announcers were saying the transfer from Dayton led the country in 3 point shooting last season.
kid was shooting 60% from 3 going into the game. Not sure what kind of volume he's shooting, but that percentage is crazy. He (Koby Brea) leads the country this year or is very near the top. Watching the game it didn’t even look like Clemson was playing that well defensively. It looked more like Kentucky didn’t have much of a plan on offense and crowding them off the 3pt line was about all it took to take them out of their game.He (Koby Brea) leads the country this year or is very near the top. I thought they looked pretty good defensively and executed their gameplan. Guarding the perimeter was the strategy it seemed like. UK is pretty guard heavy (top 4 scorers are guards), so neutralizing their best assets caused UK to have to shift, and they werent comfortable. Clemson is #14 on Kenpom in def. rating. They're pretty good defensively. UK was averaging nearly 97 ppg and Clemson held them to 66 and >10% below their season shooting %s overall and from 3.Watching the game it didn’t even look like Clemson was playing that well defensively. Yeah. I guess that’s what good defense does (make the offense look uncomfortable/disjointed). It just felt like (compared to our defense) that Clemson was doing a lot more scrambling and wasn’t as effective just staying in front of their man. Maybe they’re just switchier and it probably helps that UK didn’t really have a great way to punish it.I thought they looked pretty good defensively and executed their gameplan.
