You know it. Been there, done that. Some are a little concerned after the OSU loss that their team is too soft and won't fair well against physical teams that play in your face D.
Lucky for them our D is not physical or in your face.

I watched a fair amount of this wildkitty loss and I could see them with a losing SEC record if the ball doesn’t bounce their way often. Didn’t see tough defense or strong rim protection. Appears to be a team that will lose games like we just won at Illinois. Shots don’t fall at a high clip and they’re toast. I predict this thread gets plenty of action this season!

Probably not the right place but still a great place to celebrate: Calipari lost (again).

Bet Barnes owns one of the better records against Coach Whine.

A little of both. Pope actually coaches instead of coddling and trying to out 5 star you on paper. His portal additions were solid as well. I hate to say it, but he may actually build something solid up there. But as long as we keep doing what we are doing, they don’t worry me. Their defense is suspect and they can’t rebound worth a flip, so unless they catch on fire, they aren’t going to dominate anyone.

And I say all this to say I hate Kentucky. Just ever so slightly less since Calipari is gone.

They have a coach that’s actually decent now but they also live by the three and die by the three.

They shot 48% today and won, but in their 20 point loss to Ohio State they were 18%.

I’m getting real tired of hearing how overconfident their fans are up here. I think our defense will cause them a lot of trouble!

The details behind why we are good defensively are amusing in this context. Opposing offenses attempt more 3 pointers against us than almost any other team. Opposing offenses hit a lower percentage of their 3s against us than any other team. We force teams to commit to the perimeter and defend it better than anybody else, which is the real secret sauce behind the defense.

They've had trouble when teams get physical with them/ play some in your face D. Flordia was doing it early on the game and backed off.
I said it in another post, they are a finesse team again this year. We make them earn their 3's and I think we are a much better team. Definitely a better rebounding team which will be huge in limiting their second attempts after a missed 3.

Can they beat us? Sure, I mean if we have an abysmal night shooting or something. Other than that, I honestly think we beat them more than once this year.

I don’t watch much State hoops but I feel like Digital Underground should be required music when opponents call time out to stop a run.
