Kentucky might be tough.

Our Vols need to wake up and play their “A” game every Saturday because nothings a given in the SEC. We have to stop the mental breakdowns and find some defensive backs that can cover and build some consistency on offense.
KY crushing the Gators when we fell apart and laid an egg has me a little nervous
The problem with Tn up tempo offense, it demands that receivers catch the ball and get some first downs. If you're not careful, you giving the ball back to a run orientated team like Ky who can hold the ball and keep our offense off the field. Looking at the Florida game, i bet the time of possession was heavy in Florida's favor

Not sure how we’ll play tonight against South Carolina, to be honest.

That loss to Florida is probably going to look like really bad by the time the season is over. Every other team, to include UK, is likely to expose the Gators for what they are: a mediocre team . . . One that has our number every year we play in the Swamp (and we don’t play particularly well against them in Neyland either).

Just like tonight, defensive line will be the key to game. If we can't get pressure they won't have any problems scoring on our secondary. We can't score against a defense with a pulse. Gonna be a rough 4 game stretch.

They look good, but they’ll see the letter T on our lads’ helmets and crap themselves.
I’m sure Alabama felt the same way about us last year, and we know how that worked out.

Bottom line, Tennessee can’t afford to overlook ANY team this year. We’re not exactly setting the world on fire this year.

Kentucky can beat us and so can South Carolina, if we don’t show up prepared and play our best. There’s a lot of parity in the SEC this year.

CJH essentially said the UF game was "just another game" and the team acted like that on the field. Hopefully that was a lesson learned..
I’ve thought a lot about that.
If he was trying to avoid his team falling for the belief that there was a jinx then I can see saying this is just another game.

total yards:
UT- 387
UF- 349

Rushing yards:
UT- 100
UF- 183

Passing yards:
UT- 287
UF- 166

We done enough to win, just made too many mistakes. We can’t win in Florida just like UK has beat UT 4 times in my lifetime. We will be fine.
Honestly stats be damned. We played weak early on the LOS and dug ourselves into a bad hole. Refs didn’t help us then but we did plenty to put ourselves in a hole and make the crowd a factor in that game. Team still looks mentally weak and folds when pressured. I’m hoping with it being home and having Coop back the Oline takes it on themselves to set a tone in this game and run all over them.

Sometimes I wonder if part of Tennessee’s problems are mental. Florida dominates Tennessee, who in turn does the same to Florida. Yet, for the most part, Tennessee takes care of Kentucky. It doesn’t make sense.
Oregon has the same problem with Stanford. Doesn't matter how bad they look before the game with UO , they'll manage to look like Andrew Luck is behind center and dominate the Ducks at the LoS. It's weird , but it's consistent.

After watching SEC games all day I think all of our remaining games are going to be tough. Looks like SEC is more balanced this year.

Florida is also a very poor football team. Of course, that makes us losing that much more bitter. Heck, 2022, we had a far superior team and threatened letting that one get by us.

Kensucky did something that we will never do………..beat the Gators three straight years in a row. I repeat, we will never do that.

The wildkittens are putting it to fl convincing manner. I'm not worried about gamecocks but ky...
Thank goodness comparing scores usually isn't valid. Ky jelly basically did to UF What we did to lsu last year... they were so far behind so fast that all the game prep went out the window and they were fornicated.
