A really good game. Louisville played great, Kentucky simply lost the game on the free throw line.

And VolCard...If you're gonna make a bad joke like that, at least spell his name right.

Excuse me for the typo. Nerlens wasn't in spellcheck. I guess its my bad since its SUCH a common name right?:loco:

I'm guessing being that tall in high school was a bigger deal than it is in college. He probably wasn't depended to gaurd equally tall guys every single game.

Normally I let misspellings go since anyone can make a typo but after your last comment I couldn't help notice the way you spelled GUARD. Now with it being a basketball term I would THINK you pUKe fans could spell GUARD. I guess that fine Kentucky public school "EDUMUCATION" is coming out huh?
:eek:lol:

The folks at UK have explained what happened on the free throw dance in the first half versus Louisville. The foul was called on Russ Smith of Louisville, but the UK bench assumed the referee called the foul on the Poythress drive. They said Alex should be the shooter, assuming the foul had been called on Montrezl Harrell, not Russ Smith. The official came over to the official scorer, called the foul on Smith and said that #22 (Poythress) was the shooter. Of course, that would be impossible if the foul was actually on Smith. Since the referee did seem to blow the whistle and call the foul on Smith, it looks like it is a case of the referee himself getting confused as to who got fouled and the referee incorrectly assigning Poythress the shots instead of Noel.

That whole sequence is inexcusable. The lack of oversight and accountability in collegiate officiating is becoming disgusting.

He's flat footed and can't move.

Irrelevant. Wiltjer couldn't guard Christopher Reeve.

Happens to the best of us.

About the "switcheroo", I noticed during the game and didn't think much of it. It didnt look like anyone told Poythress to go there, maybe he thought he was fouled. It's not the first time a team tried something like that, not a big deal.
