Just announced Williams out for the season, even though your grandmother could rush for 1,000 yds with the O-line at Arkansas.

They'll just find somebody else to run behind that behemoth of an offensive line. Bielema has turned Arky into Wisky south.

It hurts to see our former O-line coach in charge of one of the best units in the country while it is such a weak point for us.

I wonder if people will pump the brakes on Arkansas now? The key to their entire offense is the rushing game. (Although they do have another talented rusher)

They also have a massive, talented experienced OL. This hurts but they got plenty to fall back on.

Well their line will definitely be put to the test when they come to Knoxville. It'll be the best DL they'll face by far.

Did they drop Ole Miss and Bama??

After some experience with Mac and Tuttle, we may very well be the best in the SEC on the defensive line, but that remains to be seen seeing as though neither have yet to play a snap of college football. Ole Miss and Bama have pretty damn good defensive lines IMO.

I believe Chaney went to Pitt after last year. He was replaced as OC by C. Michigan's ex-head coach Dan Enos, a former Beliema assistant.

They did last year too but if Williams had gone down, they would still have suffered all the same. They are going to run Collins into the ground and he already wears down by the end of the season. This year, he won't have Williams to spell him, just a couple of guys that aren't close to his or Williams talent level. This hurts bad.

Instead of 15/15 between the two it will probably go something like this as far as carries

Collins- 20
Walker- 5
R. Williams- 5

Sucks. Sorry To Jonathan. Too bad to see a player like him go down. He is pretty exciting.

Yeah they are still gonna be good. Just a slight downgrade in the backfield.

For anyone who has surgery, there are still three steps post-op:

1) healing
2) rehab for movement/pain reduction
3) strengthening

Unfortunately for him, this will probably take a while. Perhaps he hasn't red-shirted considering he's a senior. Perhaps the NCAA will grant a 6th year - who knows.

Nowhere near as you think now. Losing your most experienced and best RB for the season is not nearly as easy as some think. Arky is not Alabama. They don't have a stable of 4 and 5* RBs that they can plug in at will. Nor do they have one of the best coaches in CFB. I hate it for Williams because the kid has a lot of talent. But make no mistake, this will hurt AK. They will not beat us and they will not be a top 5 team when they play us.

Wow. So losing your best and most experienced RB equates to just a "slight" downgrade? So are you assuming that AK is on par with Bama and UGA as far as RBs are concerned?

AK = Alaska

But we're replacing him with a 5* who is a two time 1,000 yard rusher. It's the depth behind Collins that it hurts. We'll either have to give Collins more carries or pass more.

They are going to run Collins into the ground out of necessity and that is going to wear him down even more then he usually gets. Throwing more would be an even worse option for you guys imo.

He's playing 15 pounds lighter than he did last year so I guess that's good timing. It really depends on how the freshman RB we brought in does. He's been good in camp but who knows if he can take some pressure off of Collins when it gets to the real thing

Gotta hope his back troubles don't flare up.
