Well Juan Day is out for the season too with a torn ACL and McPherson is a walk on. Even adding Rawleigh Williams and subtracting Jonathan Williams it's thinner than we'd like it to be. Our 3rd string back and kick returner last year Korliss Marshall got kicked off the team.

We really need to sign a big time RB in this class

Just read that he will for sure miss the entire season.

Hate it for the dude. They got a 5th year junior in Collins so I think he'll be fine. I hope for their sake he stays healthy.

He won't make it the entire season imo. They will run that poor boy to death. They do have some depth, but it's not up to SEC caliber.

No doubt he will take a beating. But he's a little wrecking ball out there, he's very capable of taking that load....

Went back and looked and the last time Bielema only had one "go to" RB it was PJ Hill in 2006 who got 311 carries. Collins had 204 last year. I doubt he would get 100+ more carries though especially since he's down 15 pounds from last year. We want to win but no sense in sacrificing a guy's potential NFL stock over it.

Maybe he could hold up though, who knows. He's never had to do it before.

Korliss would've been huge this year.

^ I think Bret Bielema knows what he can and can't do at RB. He's known for running a 3-running back system with his offenses. Always 2 go-to backs and 1 change of pace back. Collins should take more of that load this year out of necessity, but Bielema will spread the carries out like he always does.

You have more problems than RB

How did Brandon do at the scrimmage? Middle line backer?

Hogs are tough, but I don't see you beating my Vols.
