Kiffin leaning toward California QB

He may be going after Nunez again. After all, he was once commited to UT but backed out. He may change his mind now that Kiffin is HC. JMHO

Only reason Nunes backed out was because of the distance. He liked the school and he backed out wayyyy before Fulmer stepped down. I dont see us having any shot of bringing this kid back.

Wow Barkley turned down Florida I guess he feels like he cannot compete in the SEC.

Does anyone know of any other pro-style QB's that would fit into Kiffin's system that we might have a shot at?

He in no way fits Florida's offense. Just b/c he turned them down doesn't mean he feels like he can't compete. He knows his strengths and that is not running the spread option, thus Florida was eliminated.

I heard about this on sports talk today. They said he may have cooled a bit on the Tajh Boyd recruit,he may not fit Lane's pro style offense. The kid from Southern California does I heard,he's th number one rated passer in Cal...whats his name? Last name starts with a B,does anyone know who I'm talking about?

Barkley solid to S.Cal, not coming, looks like we're stuck with the qb's that ran the 115th off. in the nation.

kiffin is not stupid. he must have someone he thinks he can get. commitments are a waste of time. Someone will SIGN that will help! Heck...the qb on my sons high school team decommitted, he is better than anyone at UT now.Get him.

I hope Kiffin has something up his sleeve. Because if he pulled the plug on Boyd, then he better have a something solid coming in.

How firm is AJ McCarron to Bama? It says soft verbal. From the top 10 pro style QBs he looks the best to me.

Any chance of poaching him?

Mettenberger.

I think we have a better chance at Aaron Murray. Both of these UGA commits are 4 stars and Mettenbergers stock has gone up this year. Mettenberger is also a Georgia boy and Murray isn't. I look for one of them to back out and I think it might be Murray. Even though he is a pro style qb, his numbers rushing and passing as a junior were very impressive. He has an offer from us. He suffered a serious injury this year, but they expect him to be ready for summer camp.

next years qb class is real good thats when we get our guy

That won't help us bounce back in 2009 from our horrid offensive performance. My bet is Kiffin does not have a back-up option to Boyd. Very short-sighted in my opinion. I was never sold on Kiffin and am even less so now.

I think that Mccarron is all bama. He is from there and seems to be really sold on them. It would be nice, but unlikely.

He has good pocket presense and can part the defense like it was water. I give him 5 stars ...

Plus, he can provide enough Gatorade for the entire team with just one cup! Imagine the savings.....

Would be nice to have a Matt Leinart clone though. Without the attitude.

"That attitude" is what Kiffin is bringing to UT. It's called swagger and the Canes patented it and USC carries it on.

(BTW, I'm referring to his college attitude)
