If that happens, Sarkisian the next OC at Bama? I would think so. I would love for Kiffin to stay at Bama, and UT bring Sarkisian on board as OC. But Kiffin going to LSU would put a crimp in that.

And I know Sark's past, everyone if life should get a second chance for infractions like his. It's not like he murdered babies.

It's interesting how some schools just flat get it done.

Do you really call hiring Ed Orgeron as head coach flat getting it done? The guy has a sketchy history as head coach. This is not a slam dunk hire by any means and how well did the Orgeron/Kiffin tandem work out at Tennessee and USC? Jeez.

Until it happens, I wouldn't worry about this. I still think Joey Freshwater gets a head coaching job after they win the national title.

We don't really know how it would have worked out at UT.

This is coming from Travis. Another former Kiffin assistant said hiring Kiffin was part of Orgeron's deal at LSU.

I guess Kiffin figures he can win a title in Baton Rouge without being yelled at like a little ***** every Saturday.

With him and Coach O recruiting La...they'll be competing with Bama in no time. All they're missing is a QB

From yesterday's news

How Nick Saban responded to question about Lane Kiffin and LSU job | AL.com

There's been chatter about Alabama offensive coordinator reuniting with Orgeron, his former coworker at USC and Tennessee, in the same role with the Tigers.

"I know nothing about it, first of all, so I don't think I should comment," Alabama coach Nick Saban said Sunday evening. "I don't think I should comment on things I don't know anything about. He's never mentioned it to me and I'm sure he would if there was something out there."

Saban trying a pre-emptive move or not understanding Kiffin just might not tell him.

Time will tell and I'm no expert but here is what I see.

-Players love Orgeron. The players at USC, UT, and LSU respected him from everything I've read.
-Orgeron knows his strong suit isn't X's and O's so he hires very very good OC and DC that he trusts to do their jobs.
-Orgeron will be as good or better at recruiting than Miles.
-He leads/guides the team.

Sounds like a pretty simple yet very effective formula. Let's wait and see the outcome.

If Orgeron has Kiffin and Aranda, he will win. LSU fans should be thrilled if those are his two coordinators.

Aranda and Kiffin that's just nasty

I remember thinking USC was going to be good when he and the corn dog left Knoxville. Boy was I wrong! Remember who the head coach is. Like Doyle Hargraves in sling blade getting the band together. It's fun in the beginning....then the poop hits the fan.
