To be fair, you don't have to dig deep. There's no deep to dig. The VT game and an early season awful game against Wake Forest are the only Marshall games available to watch. Also, sometimes one game can say it all, hell even 1.1 seconds can say it all, right? You had to dig deep to come up with this negative comment. Wow, a one game judgement, congrats.
Why do you think that?

That said, I don't think the VT meltdown is the complete story on CKC or Marshall at all. But it does raise a legit concern - what happens against a more talented team who doesn't allow you to control tempo. Reasonable to think that will happen alot in the SEC. But the good news is the experienced SEC asst coaches are well aware of that and I'm sure a better plan B is in the works.
It's not a contest. One is gone. It's entirely possible to have a question about our new coach with no agenda except how our season is going to go.Nice backhanded pro Kelly comeback, congrats.
She has 4 very good and athletic players to run an offense designed to tire out the foeThe woman hasn’t won a game at Tennessee. Hasn’t even coached a scrimmage at Tennessee. Yet, people are proclaiming her to be a home run hire, CPS reincarnated to a lesser degree. When she isn’t winning what many thinks she should, the end of year two she will be on the hot seat. Vol fans are great but they lack patience.

She has retained all but one of the former players (and that player, Karoline, would have had a tough time with a speed-game).
She put an SEC caliber staff together in two weeks and they have done wonders.
Her recruits from HS haven't even been revealed yet and I know one of the top 15 for 2025 is leaning heavily this way
She can't win over everybody and (even Jesus couldn't do that)
of course Jesus had Judas
and she has, well, figure it out

It’s certainly not harming anyone or anything to take a more optimistic view of the future. It’s actually quite common for loyal fans in every sport at every level to loudly, proudly, openly brag about how great their coach and their players are and how absolutely, positively they are going to kick @ss in the upcoming season. The woman hasn’t won a game at Tennessee. All that matters is the administrations feelings on her performance…. the fans opinion won’t matter. The woman hasn’t won a game at Tennessee. Hasn’t even coached a scrimmage at Tennessee. If you're not excited yet about Coach Caldwell, you soon will be. For my part, I'm already 100% in her corner. Since the day she was announced as HC she has delivered (and then some) every time she steps to the plate (different sport yeah... shout out to Vols baseball...). This is the start of a very enjoyable and enduring ride, so get on board...
I mean it's Marshall vs VA Tech, that ain't exactly a level playing field. How many players on that Marshall team were ACC caliber?? Tbh this current roster is probably has the most talent she has ever had on 1 team.To be fair, you don't have to dig deep. There's no deep to dig.
